Things on the island seemed to be getting back to normal. Or normal for Fandom, anyway, not that the sudden multitude of teenagers that hadn't been here before had been the most disastrous thing. It was just... kind of the exact sort of thing that made Norman want to keep his head down, and so he'd spent a lot of time in his room this week, reading old comic books, quietly picking out little things that struck him as wrong now that he wouldn't have noticed before he'd met actual zombies.

He was kind of continuing the trend here today, settling in with a cup of tea once everything was organized for the day and picking up a book to see what more scholarly individuals had to say on the matter.

Norman hadn't realized just how many different kinds of zombie there could be. Huh.

Zack could have spent today thinking about how last week had gone for him, but he... maybe had a minor dilemma today. A small one. Very small.

Super small.

In that a whole carrier full of baby chameleons had toppled over when a startled cat had gone on a tear around the room, and while Zack had defaulted to corralling the cat first, the little guys had gone on a wander.

Or maybe they hadn't? Maybe they were just excellent at hiding? Zack had no idea. Whatever the case was, he was going to be spending the rest of his day on his hands and knees, hunting for teeny-tiny reptiles.

There was a sign in the window today:

Chameleons!
If you can find one, you can have it!
All chameleon supplies 1/2 off today.

... It was worth a try. Better re-homed for free than stepped on.

Everyone had been back to normal for a few days, and Kitty was prepared for a nice normal night.

Mostly. The zombies were only playing country and even songs she suggested were played with a twang and she really needed them to stop.

And so it would seem that Astrid managed to get herself a job. And while she sort of enjoyed the whole barter system she'd developed, primitive and forcing her to weigh the importance of materialistic things, she had to admit that this would be much better. To have an actual flow of a little bit of money so she didn't have to eat in the cafeteria every day and depend on the kindness of her roommate for art supplies. It wasn't even that hard of a job, either, all she pretty much had to do was make sure all the plants were tended to, orders taken care of, stuff she kind of enjoyed anyway. Not only that, but it reminded her more of home, which she liked, and she could pretend for a little while that her reality wasn't exactly what it currently was. And if she got everything taken care of and out of the way, maybe it wouldn't even be an issue if she filled the down time with sketching.

Yeah, she could definitely handle this. And if all that wasn't enough, the pure fact that it gave her another reason to not be in her Zoology class was good enough for her.

After last weekend, Hannibal was reasonably certain that not only were there some individuals in need of his services (which was usual) but that perhaps some might be inclined to seek them. Well, he could hope, anyway.

So, he had tea and coffee ready to go, along with small scones, and light classical music playing in the office. The squirrels had been bribed not to let on more than that someone had been there. And he was sitting behind his desk, very studiously playing online chess doing his books.

The doctor was in!

Mitsutada looked at the specials board that had been made before he even got to work, trying to discern a theme.

Today's Specials
Vegetarian Bell Peppers and Beef
Shiitake Stir Fry
Shiitake Salad
Ganymede Rock Lobster

He shrugged, having no idea what sort of unifying theme was going on, or if there even was one. He could run with whatever they decided to force him to cook, for the most part.

Luke's was open and OCD free!

Being the semi-professional troll that she was, Raven was super tempted to make today's special in holosuite one be a high school musical extravaganza. And by super tempted, we mean "got all the way as far as picking a musical and programming in the NPCs", until she remembered that the goal of a business was to get people to actually want to come in, not scare them off.

Special today: ADULTING
Buy a virtual house! Interview for virtual jobs! Do your virtual taxes!

. . . Admittedly, she was still kind of terrible at that part.
