Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [06/21].

Feeling inspired by the activity yesterday, Sidon picked up a few things on his way to the shelter after his class, check in on his usual duties that he took care of at the beginning of his shift, and then set to work on his grand scheme to make friendship bracelets for all the animals.

He started with the cats, because they were always the first ones to greet him for the day and give him little welcome nibbles, and that worked out pretty well, except that they seemed far more interested in playing with them than actually wearing them. The whole thing was shut down pretty quickly once he moved on to making some for the dogs next, and the vet had to rush out in the nick of time to prevent the puppies from straight up just eating them.

So...no friendship bracelets for the animals, which was a little sad, but he could still use the materials to make one particularly long braid to entice the cats to follow him around the store in play.

"Hey." Peter waved at everyone and gave them a lopsided smile. "So, it looks like this semester is over. I hope you all had fun. I haven't exactly decided if I want to keep doing this, so let me know if you're interested?"

He waved at the TV. "So, last film. This one was recommended to me. It's animated, so it's drawn pictures instead of live filmed?" And probably a lot more traumatic than the live things, if history was anything to go by.

"Enjoy."

The Magic Box, Thursday

Jenkins had gotten back to the island late last night, and it seemed like he'd spent the entire time since on the phone.

"I assure you, Colonel, it is of upmost importance that we relocate Ms. Noone as soon as possible! That woman poses a tremendous threat to the Library and everything it stands for!" He sighed and rolled his eyes as he listened to Baird's response. "Because I have commitments here. Weren't you one of the ones who encouraged me to find something to do outside of my lab? I already had to have my students watch that ridiculous cartoon --" He cut off with another sigh and a groan. "It is not. The brontosaurus was the most powerful natural-born mage of its era, to reduce it to a prancing nincompoop -- we are getting off topic. You and Mr. Carsen need to devote all your considerable talents to tracking her down. I'm sure the others can handle -- well I'm sure that Cassandra can handle the clippings book and keep Mr.'s Stone and Jones from burning too much to the ground."

Another eye roll.

"Yes, well, hide the toaster then. Good day, Colonel."

He hung up and set his head into his hands for several moments.

"Sometimes, I miss the halcyon days of dragon fighting and trying to keep the Orkneys from harassing the nuns. . . ."

Covent Garden Flowers, Thursday

Some of the flowers towards the back of the store were humming. Octavia was spending her shift ignoring them.

That was, at least until after lunchtime. That's when she realized she'd started humming along with them.

After that, she spent her shift trying to ignore them and occasionally glaring at them.
