The Park, Friday Afternoon
Friday, June 22nd, 2018 06:56 amAnother week, another beautiful Friday, another day where Kanan was in the park with swords and dog. Until people arrived, he had his training remote, the one that Jaina had given to him, out and turned on, and he was working his way up the settings, adjusting the difficulty enough to push him as he fell back into the swing of his lightsaber form while maintaining minimum damage from the bolts themselves.
Not that he couldn't handle a few good burns, but he didn't want a stray blaster bolt hurting anything from a wandering duck to a sparring partner. The more dangerous settings were for elsewhere, places that were less likely to have random passers-by than a park on a sunny Friday at the end of a summer term.
The remote fired off another volley of shots, and Kanan caught them on his blade, most of them going wide, but a few actually heading back toward the little floating ball. Which was yet another reason for him to keep the output down low; he ruined more training remotes that way...
Stance barked and took off after a butterfly. Kanan just smiled and continued training. Overall, it wasn't a bad way to wrap up the work week.
