Trooper Station; Monday [07/09].
Monday, July 9th, 2018 07:06 amIf anyone was looking for Rosa that morning, they'd find her at her desk, eyes narrowed at her computer screen as she furiously typed away at her proposal to Kincaid that any member of the FIPD be allowed to shoot gremlins on sight, no questions asked. It wasn't easy going; it was usually the sort of thing she'd foist on Santiago, and she thought about doing so right now, but then she'd have to explain to Santiago about gremlins and...yeah, no. Screw that.
At least it was cathartic. Her rage and annoyance had simmered down into her usual irritation with everything in the world by the time the afternoon came around and she hit send on the email. An improvement in her mood she suspected would be dampened once again as she settled in for her radio reports.
Which went surprisingly fine, until she got to Saturday, where it seemed that the endless stream of loud beeping shorted out her earbuds until they made a sharp, high pitched ringing in her ear.
"Dammit!" Rosa yanked the earbuds out of her ears, causing them to tangle in her hair, which didn't help matters when she then tried to throw them across the room. "Stupid cheap piece of crap!"
And instantly winced in pain, not sure whether it was the cord pulling her hair or the ringing that persisted in her ear, and that wasn't good, and the next time she saw that stupid whining tea-lover who couldn't keep her personal shit off the radio, she was going to punch her right in her stupid face.
