Covent Garden Flowers; Tueday [08/14].
Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 06:08 amAstrid thought about skipping out on work today, just as she'd considered skipping her classes, but the same thought brought her into the flower shop that brought her into the classroom: what else was she going to do, anyway? She didn't want to stay in her room any more than she had to, she definitely didn't want to go into the woods or the preserve, she didn't even want to draw anymore. At work, there were a few things she could do, taking care of the plants, things like that, though she avoided the oleanders and was thoroughly unimpressed with the chiming that the bluebells made every time she walked by them.
Most of the time, though, she just spent at the counter, slightly slumped, chin in her hand, staring off blankly as her consciousness tried to outrun all the jumbled thoughts in her head. She was pretty sure that the plants were probably doing more silly and incomprehensible things around her, but she wasn't really noticing if they were.
Covent Garden is open!
