Know what made Kitty nervous? The fact that a small group of gremlin carolers had taken up a position on the stage, singing along with the zombie band. They seemed more intent on performing than making with the chompy chompy at least? And the sound was interesting. It was maybe so bad that Kitty actually kind of liked it?

Anyway, Caritas was open. Maybe watch your ankles.

Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday

"Hey, guys, that's really great," Zack said, forcing a little bit of a smile at the troupe of singing gremlins who had parked their way just inside the shelter's door. They were singing their hardest, doing their best, and while the dogs and cats and fish didn't seem to care much for their singing either way, the birds were doing their best to... well, not sing along, per se. But definitely to try to sing over them.

And Zack, being Zack, felt it was important to encourage their creativity.

And, uh, to not get bitten.

So he was standing at the counter making busy work for himself, looking as attentive as he possibly could. He was making a sign:

If he could help it, he was never having a repeat of the Easter Bunnies again. If anybody saw an animal here they wanted that badly, they could definitely be patient enough to wait until January to bring it home.

The Magic Box, Tuesday

Today was actually quiet at the Magic Box. Even the puppy was opting to spend most of the day sleeping at his feet, which Norman was perfectly okay with. It gave him more time to tidy up in preparation for a week spent in Hyrule, where nobody would be here to tend the shop.

It also meant that when the Gremlins did wander around to sing their carols, their festive strains resonated really well with some of the crystals on display. Norman squinted a little bit at them and then a little bit at the gremlins.

He was pretty sure 'Feliz Navidad' wasn't supposed to make the amethyst glow like that, but what was he supposed to do about it? He wasn't going to get himself bitten just because the merchandise was acting weird, thanks.

Luke's, Tuesday

Mitsutada had recovered from his bought of festive transformation and had spent the weekend moving out of his school office and otheriwse formalizing that paperwork.

Which meant he was now just sitting at Luke's, feeling ho-hum about no longer being a teacher. He was normally not one to brood, but it did feel a little like a failure.

On the weather channels, the meteorologists were turning that kind of gleefully hyper that meant that a really big storm was actually going to hit, instead of only leaving a dusting of snow and messing up commutes. In Fandom, temperatures were dropping, and the sky was an unpromising gray. The prediction was for at least a foot of snow starting around dawn tomorrow, so townies, time to stock up on bread, milk, beer, and toilet paper!

Students, get your hot chocolate fixings!
