seriesofbaddecisions: (lounging)

It seemed like everyone was gone, and while Sabine didn't mind being alone, the quiet was starting to bug her. Rather than stick around the empty dorms all day, she went to her warehouse, cranked up some music as loud as she could- it was a big space- and got to work repainting her armor.

She was basing a lot off the teal deer on the Paulson, but since her hair was darker right now she was keeping these colors brighter so it didn't look too much like she was having a phase. She was keeping to ranges and pinks and a light gray, with little bits of teal in spots because she thought it was great.

The problem was, if she was doing this now, she was going to have to give herself some more projects until classes started again.

Peter had spent a quiet Christmas at home, but today it was back to work - time to mark down the poinsettias and start making the New Year's bouquets. Flowers waited for no man! Or something.

The poinsettias were still singing Christmas carols, though, and all the bell-shaped flowers were ringing along in tune, so it was a pleasant enough day.

The flower shop was open!
rebelseekspizza: (dante pb - thataway)

If Dante was completely honest with himself, there wasn't a whole lot about Fandom he missed. It'd been a nice place, it'd been home when he needed home, but he wasn't a guy to get nostalgic for it much.

One thing he did miss? Coffee.

Or, well, actually, the strawberry and cream drink that you could call coffee strictly by the parameters of 'it gets served in a coffee place'. Dante's universe didn't have a whole lot of quirks compared to the rest of the multiverse, but you know what it didn't have? Starbucks.

Dante blamed Mundus, personally.

He flirted with the barista, grin huge on his face, and returned to his seat with a drink that had so much extra cream and strawberry on it that it kind of seemed to push its way out of the cup. Heaven, dammit.

Fjord was going to go ahead and assume, based on the appearance of the altogether bewildering gift he'd been given for the holiday and the comparative lack of singing birds or weapons turning into random objects, that the holiday had come and gone, and he'd somehow managed to make it through without a single terrible sweater incident or hat being stuck on his head for an entire day.

He was considering that a win as he showed up to work at the forge, yeah. He'd survived what he was pretty sure was the dumbest holiday this island had to offer.

... He'd enjoyed Halloween. So sue him.

Anyway, there was always work to do around here, and so he was starting his day by casting around looking for anything that still needed tidying up after the snowman attacks. Seemed like as good a start as any.

[OOC: .... Riiiiiiiiight, it's Wednesday! Open!]
spectre_alenko: Kaidan in a sleeveless sports jersey, smirking slightly (exercise)
[personal profile] spectre_alenko
Far be it from any amount of snow to keep Kaidan from obsessively jogging. Sparkle had mentioned the pond, he was curious, so he went to check it out.

The pond was frozen over. The ducks were annoyed. Kaidan jogged down to the edge and gave an experimental step with one foot. The ice cracked easily and completely under pressure and water seeped up. Making a 'tsk' noise of disappointment, he pulled his foot back and headed to a bench. A quick sweep of his hand shoved the snow off enough it could be sat on.

The ducks took immediate advantage of the cracked ice, quacking and nudging the ice shards out of the hole with their bills until they could all cram in and sit in it.

"Aren't you cold?" he asked, watching them.

The ducks ignored him with as much dignity as a passel of cantankerous, bickering, stubborn ducks could ignore someone.
