When she'd awakened that morning, she'd had no idea who she was, where she was, why she was there...and a thorough investigation of the apartment she was in revealed some interesting, somewhat helpful but perhaps not, information. She had a lot of weapons, for one, which was slightly reassuring, a lot of leather jackets...and a lot of identities. She found information to suggest that she could be any of more than half a dozen different people--Rosa Diaz, Emily Goldfinch, Amanda St. Claire--but the mail on the kitchen table, confirmed by a glance at the mailboxes on the way out, told her that, apparently, here, she went by that first one. And by the badges she found, apparently, here, she was a cop.

Or at least pretended to be one.

Who was she, that she would have so many indentities, so many weapons? That she would wake up not knowing who she was or where? The only logical conclusion was that she had to be some sort of spy, and some mission had gone south a bit, and that's why she ended up here, possibly drugged, probably taken to some safe space by a colleague looking out for her.

Oh. And there was one other thing she had.

A dog. A very cute and very eager dog who pranced around her and nudged at her and rolled around trying to up the cute factor until she caved in and abandoned her investigation to finally take her out for a walk. If anything, it would give "Rosa" the chance to scope the place out a little, maybe pick up a few more hints about her current situation, and they eventually made their way to the park, where she stood and frowned at the pond, deep in thought, while that stupid dog decided it would be fun to start chasing the ducks...only to have the ducks mostly chase her instead.

This seemed to be the place.

The girl gave the giant metal rooster statue a confused glance and then set about to trying out all her keys until she found one for the door. The phone she'd woken up to had popped up a calendar event called "Work at Dite's." She still didn't know the passcode to unlock it - wasn't even entirely sure it was her phone, but the lockscreen had a picture of a bunch of people at Korean barbeque and her face was in the middle, so...probably? Hopefully? Otherwise, maybe she'd meet whomever was supposed to be working at this place today and maybe they could give her more information about who she was, where she was, and what she was supposed to be doing.

The fourth key worked and the door clicked open. "C'mon, Ronin," she said, grateful that the dog's tags had his name on them (and an address, but in a city she'd never heard of and a state almost a thousand miles away from where she was now) and that he seemed well-behaved and content to follow her. "Say, what kind of store do you think Dite's Decadent Delights is, huh boy? Maybe fancy chocolates?"

She took three steps inside and discovered, that no. These delights were very much not a confectioner shop. "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh," she said, eyes wide. "Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Um. Okay. We can do this. Um. Can't we?"

Here was hoping the cash register wasn't password protected, too.

Liam - he was reasonably certain his name was Liam, anyway, since most (though pointedly not all) of the ID he'd managed to find with his face on it had that name - still had no idea where he was, or what was going on.

Valerie? Verity? Whoever she was, had declared that she needed some time to herself, and Liam had obliged.

Except... he hadn't the slightest clue where he ought to go, so he'd settled for wandering around the town until he'd found a place that had hot beverages of some sort.

He'd waited his turn in line, asked the person standing at the counter for a recommendation, and received a beverage. There was just one small problem, apparently.

"Money?" he frowned at them. "I don't have any with me."

He'd woken up this morning. That was a good start.

It had gone downhill from there.

The phone that had woken him up told him he needed to be here at the diner, so he'd thrown on some clothes and shown up.

Okay, now what?

There were several guys milling around in the place that seemed as confused as he was and had all had the same experience, more or less.

One of them shrugged. "I know how to cook, so I guess I'll just do that?"

"I do, too," he pointed out.

"Great! We'll figure something out."

He nodded. "I'll make coffee."

Hey, some things didn't change.

So, Seivarden had been told by some squirrels that she was supposed to be working here, and she did have a key, so why not?

Only there was plenty of work that involved orders and she had no idea how to do it, and she preferred not to mess things up, which left her with too much time for thinking. That wasn't good. She couldn't even remember her name, much less where she was, and that was really uncomfortable. For some reason making herself tea felt like bet best way to deal with this.

[Open! Seivarden doesn't remember that she's supposed to wear gloves.]
