Keyleth was so glad to see the plants back to being nice and healthy this week that she made a point out of stopping to check on every single one of them on her shift today. She might have been slightly disappointed that they weren't talking to her (unlike the teal deer she'd had a nice long conversation with early in the morning), but that didn't stop her from telling them how glad she was to see they were doing better, and maybe encouraging them to keep up the good work.

This was probably going to take up her entire work day, but she was fine with that.

[OOC: The OCD is having nightmares thanks to the last hour or so of CR tonight, gaaaaaaaaaah. Post/shop open, continued SP of doom notwithstanding!]

So, things were not quite going the way Sidon was thinking they might have gone at the shelter that day. Things were not going badly, of course--how could they, the animals were all talking and they had so many interesting things to say! But Sidon had hoped to come in that day, expecting to be regaled with all the stories that he always asked them about that they couldn't quite communicate before, only to find that (with a few delightful exceptions), most of them were more interested in continuing to just hear Sidon tell his stories, especially since he had some new ones to share regarding his recent amazing journey into Nar Shaddaa.

And who was he to say no? So many of them were just so eager and thriled and it was so nice to hear that they truly had been enjoying all of his stories (well, of course they did! How could they not? His stories were thrilling and exciting and the absoute best!) and couldn't wait to hear more, and now they could add their own comments and questions and it made it a much more interactive process that Sidon enjoyed quite a lot.

It did well to help him forget about the little snippets of whispers he would catch from a tightly gathered group of kittens that were very clearly and not too discretely discussing their plans on finally cornering him, taking him down, and eating him.

He could have maybe done with a little less of that, especially as one of them seemed particularly fond of going into very, very, very rich detail about just how she'd do it, too.

It was a beautiful day today, and it would have been a shame to spend it all in the warehouse, especially since Stance had insisted he try out his new vest-vesty-vest to go commune with the ducks in. It was a pretty handsome number for a doggy life vest, all black with rainbow trim, because Stance had a theme and he needed to stick with it, of course.

The ducks weren't having any of it, yelling things about how he better not eat them, but Stance wasn't one to be deterred so easily, calling back, "Look! I am calmly floating! Floating to my newest most best friends!"

Kanan just chuckled, seated himself on the lawn in the sunshine, and settled in to meditate. His sword training equipment was nearby - most of it had even actually recovered in the wake of the flooding - but on a day like today, that much could wait at least until he had a student or something.

You know, today was going pretty okay. Vette couldn't even be upset that Hurricane had kicked her butt in the very first round of Gladiators today, because really, melee combat wasn't exactly her whole... thingy. Which she proved when she came into work and immediately set to it, going over a new shipment of guns, making sure they were clean and calibrated, humming the entire while.

Vette was a double-blaster kind of girl. There was no denying that.

After yesterday, Fjord had been wary about coming in to work today. Hell, just not going outside at all would've been his first choice, if he didn't have a commitment to see to today. And he wasn't calling out on account of talking cats, dammit. He outright refused.

So imagine the look on his face when he came in to Caritas to see that Tino had invited half the strays on the island in for some kind of open mic night with the zombies, on the grounds that at least now that they could speak, maybe it wouldn't just be caterwauling.

"... They stay over there by the stage and you're on zombie duty tonight," Fjord muttered, shooting Tino a look. "Either of those things changes, and you're all gettin' hauled out by the scruff."

"Even me?"

"Especially you, Tino."

Yeah, Liam still was making the most of being somewhere with an outdoors where the air wasn't trying to kill you. Especially since the weather seemed to be at least a little bit nicer than yesterday. So, today he'd dragged the Troopers outside and they were running laps around the block. While he 'supervised' from a chair by the doorway.

"C'mon, Ralph, you're lagging behind!" he called out. "Step it up!"

Mae had been pretty soundly defeated in round one of competition in class today, so she was still all riled up and full of smashy, jousty energy with limited appropriate outlets.

Luckily, the Holoscene had medieval programs.

"I'M ON A HOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoRSE!" she cried delightedly, as her armored steed galloped full speed at another armored steed. With a knight on it! "THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVERRRRRR!"

And she was soundly defeated when her opponent's lance smashed into her a moment later.

"I'LL GET YOU, SIR JEAN! IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DOoOoOoOoOoOo!"

Delighted screaming continued to pour out into the streets through the Holoscene's open doors. Along with trumpet fanfares, and occasional bursts into really anachronistic singing.

This had been a mostly relaxing week, but Hera was glad to get out to the scrapyard for a bit. Stance was adorable, but very high-energy and chatty.

Of course, the bitey bits were talking, too. Not nearly as much, though.

"Up!" One demanded, bouncing at her. She cautiously picked it up, and it immediately bounded out of her arms and scrambled up the nearest pile of metal, settling in at the top. Hera eyed it skeptically for a moment, but it seemed happy and unlikely to fall, so she left it.

Most of the others seemed content to chew on whatever was on the ground or chase each other in circles. Except for one that kept bumping into her boots and asking, "Copper? Please?"

Vette, you'd been spoiling it.

"I'll see what I can find."
