Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday

The flowers were all crying today. Some were quietly sobbing, others were wailing like babies. Seivarden tried giving them all water, without success, and after digging through the drawers after some earplugs, also without success, she resorted to shouting.

"Fuck you! Who the fuck do you thing would want to buy any of you unless you shut up and behave!"

That didn't work either. For some plants it had the opposite effect.

"Look, I didn't mean to scare you, just... please be quiet."

The plants were still crying.

"Fuck. I need tea. I need a drink."

You would find Seivarden on a chair just outside the shop today, sipping tea and looking miserable.

Groovy Tunes, Saturday

Breq was humming along to the music the stereo was playing, while dusting the shelves and sweeping the floor. Of course owning a shop couldn't be a permanent thing, but for now she found herself content with the situation. She went from humming to singing. Yes, this was only temporary, only until she could get back to her universe and do what she had to do, but until then someone had to look after this place.

She would make sure to do that properly, and hopefully she would find a new employee or two among the new students.

She nodded to the glittery pink sloths hanging from the ceiling today.

Luke's Diner, Saturday

It was good to be back on the island, especially when the island actually was being normal-for-the-island. Nothing was trying to kill them, at least.

Though there was something with tentacles which seemed to be trying to get out of the freezer. Miguel shoved it back in and slammed the door; hopefully it'd give up before they needed to get anything else.

The staff was all very chipper and loud, and Miguel resolved not to have anything to do with them until he'd had about a pot of coffee.

Right. So as far as Janet was concerned, last week never happened.

She was just at work, like usual (for the second week), and had even brought Apu coffee this morning as a sort of peace offering. He'd taken it, and then he'd set it down and it had stayed in the same place all shift.

Fine. Now Janet had a mission.

The beach- Saturday afternoon

Rey's apartment was incredibly sparse, and way too big for her, but this did allow her to sometimes get some practice in indoors. She had two bedrooms and a study, what else was she supposed to use all that space for? But she also didn't like being cooped up too long, so today she was coming out to work with her staff out on the beach, because she hadn't quite gotten tired of being able to see that much water yet.

She really should look into maybe getting or making something that at least had the same feel of a lightsaber, so at least she would have some more experience with it when the day came that she had a working one again. But she'd also had such an insane time of it lately, feeling like last month was a thousand years ago, that her staff at least felt familiar. Could a weapon be comforting? Was it weird if it was?

Don't mind her, standing just far enough off the shore that she wouldn't get wet, beating up nothing.
