Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [10/23].
Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 06:29 amStrange and disturbing things were indeed happening all over the island this week: Shunsui Kyōraku had actually gone to work two days in a row.
Not that he planned on actually doing much work, mind you, except perhaps talking to customers, which he felt didn't really count as work, since it was something he mostly enjoyed, and he'd even gotten most of his ordering done yesterday, besides. He had some workplace napping to catch up on, since it hadn't really gone very well for him the day before, and, well, he knew certain people tended to do their grocery shopping on Wednesdays, and he'd hate for them to be terribly disappointed by his absence if they'd come in today and he wasn't there...
There was, of course, the matter of the gourds and the little old lady who came in and always spent about half an hour going through all the milks in the cooler in hopes to find the one jug with an expiration date far, far, far into the future, who usually paid with all coins, and now only seemed to have a pocketfull of tiny gourds. Shunsui was more than happy to accept gourds as payments, especially from such a lovely young woman such as this little old lady, but he was a bit at a loss on how exactly to do the conversion rate.
