Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Friday Afternoo [05/15].

Event hough Amaya had her class bright and early in the morning and had two classes to attend after that, she still wanted to make sure she got some work done in the shop that afternoon. She got the forge stoked up good and hot in case anyone came in with something that would need it, but most of her attention was focused on the bits and pieces she had scattered around on one of the worktables. Bit and pieces, it would seem, from a few video cameras that had been thoroughly and systematically taken apart and dismantled and were now being put together but with far more parts than they'd originally started with.

Because, sure, there were plenty of functional cameras that she and Seivarden could use to film the final project of their class already available, but what if...just what if!...she could make an even better camera before then?

She, the woman who'd never even heard of cameras before even coming here.

It was worth a try!

The Forge is open!

Caritas | Friday

Cait Sith sidled into his shift at Caritas oh so carefully.

Why? Because it had been a week of goats and puppies apparently and, while he'd been spared some of it, Beaker hadn't been and Cait had no wish to be chewed on more to balance the cosmic scales or something.

Look, puppies had already been in the bar once. It was just smart to be careful!

Luckily, only the zombie band and Tino were in the bar when he got there and that, well, he didn't care about.

"Ye'r hackit enough tae be a goat bit, sae far, ye'v hud th' guid sense tae nae huv a go tae sloch me," he said to Tino. "Ye kin bade."

For now.

Look, someone had to make the drinks Cait didn't feel like making!

Caritas is Open!

"Ohmygosh," Nina said to a disbelieving Leroy and a gaggle of other squirrels. "I would never have one of you guys stuffed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like, I swear on my brother's life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Nina's shift at her shop was, uhhhh…

It was going oddly. To say the least.

"Look, see????????????????" She set her stuffed toy squirrel down on the counter. "See, look, he's never been real in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

She watched, dubiously, as the squirrels huddled around her toy, chittering amongst themselves.

Trooper Station, Friday

When Liam arrived at the Station today, it was to find that the Troopers had pushed all the desks to the sides of the room and were playing floor hockey of all things.

“Put those back,” he said, gesturing to the desks. Calvin looked as if he were going to argue, but Liam just held up a hand. “Back. You want Rosa to decide to stop in today and see that you moved her stuff? Come on.”

That got them moving, and with a sigh and a shake of his head Liam just headed in to his office.

"It better still be like this when I get back," he informed the Troopers as he headed out partway through the day to go the Arts & Crafts workshop up at the school.

The warehouse where it happens- Friday afternoon

Rey had sent a text earlier that had left her reason to be concerned, but she was trying to put it out of her mind for training.

It hadn't worked the first time she tried running the obstacle course, which had ended in a fall that was going to leave some bruises tomorrow. But instead of getting frustrated about it and trying it again right away and doing something else dumb, she decided to take a break.

So for the moment at least she was sitting on the floor in front of the course with one of the books open, and that seemed to be going much better.

Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday

After a good day of lecture and discussion yesterday, Kathy was back in the brick-and-mortar Dite's today. The weather had her energized and now it was time for some spring cleaning - much needed considering how long the building had been shut up. The late spring air was nice enough that she had the door propped open, with retro pop spilling out of it. Right now Kathy was dancing with a mop to Elton John's I'm Still Standing, doing the choreography in the video as she made her way across the store, possibly with some Risky Business thrown in for good measure.

"Ronin, to you for the solo!"

Ronin, chewing on his toy from the other week, just huffed at his owner like she was a weirdo and remained flopped down on his doggy bed.

"Your loss!" she declared, continuing her dance down one of the aisles.

Dite's was open, if not particularly sexy.

Chilly Boulder, Friday Afternoon

Ulysses had survived the beginning of another term!

No, it hadn't actually been hard (except maybe the horrible wheelbarrow part of whatever the everloving fuck Wednesday had been), but that didn't matter. He'd survived, and for that, he was treating himself to some monstrous ice cream concoction at Chilly Boulder. There was probably like an entire donut somewhere in there. And more sprinkles than a human could possibly need.

He had, surprisingly enough, not treated himself to anything else yet today. But he'd do that later.

You know, if he was still conscious after devouring this entire thing of sugar.
