Normally, Mary liked cleaning. It helped her feel grounded and gave her the satisfaction of a job well done. But today, as she tripped over yet another broom and nearly face-planted into the strategically-placed bowl of bananas at the front desk, she decided she was done with cleaning. If it wasn't for the pile of brooms blocking her from reaching the mini bar storage, she would be getting an early start to the end of the workday with a drink. For now, she had to settle for Gunther's coffee.

Homecoming Carnival- Post I- The Park- Friday, October 23

It was a decent enough day for a gothic disco carnival! The sun was shining, the booths and rides were all set up, and sure there were brooms popping up everywhere, but that's just Fandom for you.

And okay, sure, people might have woken up today to find that they'd lost or gained some powers and skills overnight, but that was fine! Dunk Anakin and feel better.

Trooper Station, Friday

So when Liam spotted the brooms everywhere in the Station, his first thought was that the Troopers were in the midst of a cleaning spree. Which, hey, unexpected, but welcome.

Of course, he'd been corrected rather quickly, with the explanation that the brooms weren't for cleaning, they were there for the ~aesthetic~.

Sure, whatever, the Trooper Station was open for all your policing-related needs. Or even non-policing needs! It was open. Liam was here.

While the booths were fun and all, this was where the gothic disco theme really shone. The decor was heavy on three things: 1) black, 2) spooky, 3) shiny. And while you might not think those things went together, allow Student Council to prove you wrong. There was even very minimal glitter so you know they're serious. (It was an impossibility to keep all glitter away from homecoming, it sort of just migrated there, sentiently.)

Covent Garden Flowers, Friday (10/23)

Sure, she'd spilled some potting soil and had to clean it up shortly after arriving this moning, but Yasha could have sworn she'd put the broom away immediately afterward.

Except here it was, leaning against the counter in front of her, so she picked it up and went to put it away -- next to the broom that she had, in fact, put away after sweeping up the potting soil. When she turned around again there was another one on the counter beside the register, and with a sigh she just propped it up in the corner and out of her way so she could work on other things like stumbling her way through a couple of phone orders (hooray for 7 charisma) and trying to work on an arrangement that involved some cute little jack o'lantern ornaments and --

She was sure there hadn't been miniature brooms mixed in with them when she put them out on the counter. And yet.

Looked like they were going to be incorporated in whatever final design she ended up with.

The Devil's Nest, Friday Night

Lucifer missed the bloody raccoon.

Oh, sure, he could go back to the Rouge and pester Duke (he really kind of wanted to) but that would be Tuesday all over again (can't have too many Tuesdays in a week) so really, the best choice to make was just to go into work, play some pianos, and settle into his raccoonless existence.

And plan that party he'd been thinking about.

... okay, he'd plan the party later. Right now, there was just a humble sign outside that read THE DEVIL'S BACK! DISCOUNT ON ALL DRINKS OVER 15% ALCOHOL! and Lucifer, himself, was behind the piano settling in for an evening of the best devil pun songs you could possibly cover on a piano.
