Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [12/08].
Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 04:45 amAstrid was a little disappointed that it seemed that the cookie she'd found on her pillow that morning was a one-time thing; she was half-expecting random cookies to show up everywhere, but, if they had been, she didnt' notice them. She was especially hoping to find some at the flower shop, nestled in the open blooms of flowers or maybe hanging off of the branches of the bonsai, but no such luck.
That was fine, though, too. The flowers were already getting into the Christmas carol mood (and the guitar-playing orchid was experimenting with a more punk-rock flavored rendition of the ubiquitous 'All I Want for Christmas is You'), while Astrid, clearly inspired by the shenanigans earlier that week, set to decking the bonsai out in tinsel and garland and ltitle tiny ornaments like they were Christmas trees. And then settling in behind the counter with her postcards and some watercolors to paint the Christmas bonsai in a style that embraced the negative space as she'd learned in class.
Not a bad way to spend a day at all.
Covent Garden is open!
