Okay, Troy's brain was officially wrinkling right now, because there were times when he thought he lost something important, but it turned out that he already ate it, but he knew that wasn't the case with things like his phone charger and that rock he found once that he swore had Scottie Pippen's face on it.

He was not so sure, however, if this was the case with the sandwich he'd brought with him for lunch today.

Had he already eaten it? Was it just missing? Did the tangle wires monster in the basement steal it? Was a mere sandwich going to be enough to satisfy its hunger???

His attempts to cup his hand over his mouth and breathe out in hopes to catch a scent of lunch meat or mustard proved ineffectual, and any crumbs he found on his person were inconclusive, so the mystery of the sandwich just may be lost to the annals of time...

...either way, he was probably ordering pizza in the meantime.

The Perk | Late Thursday Morning

Diego had initially gone to the Perk to get hangover supplies for Annie, but once he got his own coffee and was waiting for a box of donuts he got distracted by one of the magazines on the table. It was one of those trashy celebrity rags and he realized he recognized the people on the cover. The title "Patrick to Allison: We're Doing Just Fine" had him grabbing it and taking a seat a table to read the article about his sister's divorce.

This was different than Vanya's book, okay? Allison was a celebrity, she invited this sort of thing.

Was it wrong to just get a delivery of paint to work? Well, whatever, Sabine had had to special order a specific color and if it was just going to be used here anyway... She'd get back to the mural once she finished her actual work.

Should her boss be a little concerned about this? Probably.

Duke hummed faintly as he updated the specials board that morning, a cup of coffee clutched in his free hand. His staff huddled behind him, staring in concern. Eventually, they managed to bully Greg to the front.

"Uh, boss?" he said.

"Hm?" Duke didn't bother to glance back at him.

". . . You okay?"

"Fine." Duke sipped his coffee. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"That's, uh. Your third cup of coffee."

Duke looked at his cup for a long moment, then shrugged and took another sip. "So?"

"You've been here fifteen minutes." Ali elbowed Greg sharply in the ribs and made emphatic gestures at the specials board. "Also, uh. That special isn't fish."

Duke shrugged again and went to refill his mug.
