Prompto knew that picking an ice cream place on a weekend like this wasn't going to be the most private spot for a conversation, but he also knew that this conversation? Was definitely going to necessitate some freaking ice cream. If anything, he figured anyone treating their kids to a nice treat that afternoon (or any kids treating themselves, let's be real here) would be too preoccupied with their own shit to really notice to two adults....well, mostly adults...having a presumably boring conversation in the corner.

So he shot Nina a text to let her know to meet him there that pretty much just said they needed to talk with a sad face emoji to accompany it, then he stood there awkwardly trying to focus on the menu and decide what he wanted to get while he waited, unable to stand stand still while rehearsing his side of the conversation over and over again, despite knowing that once they actually sat down and talked, it would probably come out entirely different.

[[ sure, he's expecting a certain sister, but it's an ice cream shop during kidlet weekend! It's definitely open! ]]

Since Prompto was meeting that afternoon with Nina for a talk that Ignis had agreed would be very important and helpful to everyone involved in this situation, it then fell onto Ignis's shoulder to take care of their presummed son from a potential future. He certainly didn't mind; the boy really was a delight, and this was exactly the sort of weekend Ignis had been waiting for, ones with shades of that future that Prompto had gotten glimpses of before, a future that was dark and grim and, perhaps, if they were vigilent, if they were careful, could potentially be avoided.

It would hardly do to just try to interrogate the poor child for information, though, so Ignis wanted to be delicate, he wanted to be careful, he wanted to come across the information he needed naturally. And so when Spero came up to him and asked if they could do a training session in the woods, because he wanted to really brush up his knife skills to impress his 'new cousins', Ignis was happy to oblige, and they headed out into the woods, where he figured they could not only find a safe space to practice, but it would also satisfy Spero's desire to be outside as much as possible while he was here.

"Dad! Dad!" he cried out eagerly as he bounced over to where his knife hit the target of a tree almost perfectly so that he could yank it out of the wood. "Can you teach me the fire trick now?"

Ignis took a second to look at Spero, then looked around at their surroundings.

"This may sound a bit wild and surprising, Spero," he intoned, "but I may not think this is the best place to be practicing the fire trick."

"Ice, then!"

Ignis sighed slightly. "Ice, then," he allowed, "perhaps. Let's see you work your way through forms and attacks one through seven with minimal error first, and once I feel you've accomplished them with satisfaction, we can consider the ice trick."

A small groan of burden escaped the small boy, as well as a very big sigh, but he rolled his eyes and readjusted his grip on his knife before settling into a ready stance. "Okay, fiiiiine," he groused, before drawing in a deep breath, remembering to focus like he'd been taught, and then starting to move.

Stark had not been to the bakery in over a week now. Last week had been last week, after all. Buying treats for his not-quite-children today seemed like an excellent reason to return and they had asked nicely. Repeatedly, but nicely. Not that a demand for baked goods would really have stopped him. He was always an indulgent temporary parent and both children were well aware of that fact.

"Choose something now," he told them, "we'll get something for later as well."

Was a cookie as big as their head a good choice for Réaltín's breakfast? Why not. It was only one breakfast. Ziya's double chocolate muffin was hardly an improvement but Stark was hardly going to pass up an opportunity to spoil these two extremely improbable (possibly impossible) children.

Dubious breakfast choices made, the trio found a table and sat to fortify themselves with sugar and discuss plans for the rest of the day.

[SUPER OPEN of course should you desire baked goods or an opportunity to interact with an alien and/or his blue daughter or non-blue child]

Okay, well, kids probably shouldn't be at the bar, but Silver felt bad about leaving Jamie with Rey since she wasn't her responsibility. He sat her at the end of the bar with a soda (kids could have that, right?) and his cell phone, knowing from experience that would keep her occupied for hours on end.

Then he hit the rum. If this really was his child, she had surely seen him drink before.
