Pretty much as soon as everything with graduation was over, Summer had popped out of Fandom for a bit because the week leading up to it definitely required locking down an emergency session with Dr. Wong to work through all of it because, hoo boy, was that one kind of a doozy for her. There had been a lot to unpack there.

(Not to mention needing a new phone).

But with actual advice from a woman who, while maybe not trained specifically in Summer's particular brand of craziness, was deft in managing it smoothly from the moment the Smith clan walked into her office, Summer was back and mostly deciding on whether or not to take that advice and actually work on talking through some of what happened with the people it happened with or if she would just sort of attempt to continue on like nothing had happened if she could.

Guess which one she was leaning toward.

Either way, it was Monday, which meant a lot of work to do at the store, and she was eager to throw herself into it, especially with attempting to plan (there was no ever actual planning involved in stocking this place, it was all based on hope, really) for what supplies might be needed with the incoming summer students and teachers as well as maybe continuing to up their stock on booze because that was definitely where they would always continue to show steady increases in their margins, both at the end and the beginning of a new semester.

And already stocking up for herself because guess whose bar shift lined up with another good Excuse for Drinking Holiday this week!

If Rosa looked like she'd maybe gotten a little more sun lately, that was probably because someone had decided to just hit up the Bahamas for a few days after she'd wrapped up most of her work on her current case last week, and figured she wouldn't even bother checking to see if the portals were back up yet because it was a good excuse to just pop off to the Bahamas for a few days, just in case.

Not that she needed an excuse, but it was always nice to have a little extra ammo in one's pocket.

But she'd gotten back in last night, and now it was back to work down in the office, compiling up her evidence into a report which was just super fun, and when that was over, maybe she'd consider working on some lesson plans for her workshop this summer, although that would require actually remembering what it was she'd actually signed up to teach this summer.

Ah, well. Even if she didn't wind up remembering, she could just make something else up entirely and go with it, and there were always 50/50 odds the moose would expect her to teach something entirely different, anyway.

Causeway and Into Town | Monday Morning

Wanda would have been more than happy with holding up in the woods for the next decade or so after what had happened in Westview. In fact, that had been the plan, until a flier about a little town on a little island came her way. She had sort of liked the small town thing until it went to hell, and there was a job opening at the magic shop. Seemed weirdly perfect.

She was making her way into town with just a duffel bag in her hand. She really didn't have all that much to her name before the blip and after she had even less. At least she had enough money set aside that she could afford a room at the hotel until she found a proper place to live.

Covent Garden Flowers: Monday

Nell was not a particular fan of spiders - not indoors anyway! However she respected the job they played in keeping bugs down, so she carefully and quietly collected as many as she could to rehome outside. Then she took a broom to the cobwebs and cleaned the place up.

After that she sat for a while with her hand in the soil of the plants, still recuperating some from the craziness of the last week.

Oh! And considering which would be the best plant to bring to Travis as a 'thank you/we survived' gift.

Seivarden had struggled to forget last week using a method that wasn't the same as she had used last week. It had been a struggle, but so far she had managed, and if nothing else she was doing ok, all things considered.

No, she wasn't doing ok, but it could be a lot worse.

There would be no Radchaai arrack special this week, as she had temporarily stowed those boxes away in her closet, and she decided to go with a reliable one:

Steve had been forgotten in all of the admin work of the day was right on time to work, even after an especially long swim to make sure the creepy tentacle thing was long gone. He'd have to read the report to figure out what the hell that had been about.

But now he was in the office, listening to the troopers telling tales about getting chased by some shadowy dude they'd called "Darth Sideous," which sounded, in Steve's opinion, really fake.
