Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [05/04].

Last week, Astrid couldn't bear the ideo of going into work, but this week, she felt she couldn't get there soon enough. It was just too...odd, having the room to herself now, not having Sabine there. She knew it would eventually fade, it would start to feel more normal again, that was how it always went, but there was still always that period of numbness, like grieving, where the loneliness seemed to follow her around like a dark cloud.

You'd think she'd be used to it by now...

Either way, it was good to get out of the room and be somewhere else for a while, and with Mother's Day coming up, there was a good distraction in a decent amount of orders to work on.

As long as she didn't think too much about what those orders were for.

She decided against sneaking random oleanders into these ones.

Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [05/04].

There had been a lot of tea for Tisarwat since Friday, a lot of recovery time, to the point where she really did need to get on that trip back home, not so much because it would be good to reassure herself that she still could get home, but because she was running out of anything even half-way decent at this point.

At least she was able to prove that her attempts to get back to the Radch last week were just a fluke, though, as she had popped back very briefly just to make sure yesterday.

And maybe get some tea while she was there.

Priorities.

So now she could stop panicking and get back to planning, although, really, for today, Tisarwat just sort of wanted to go through everything in the store and get things back in order, back to...'normal' (whatever that might mean). Like a cleansing ritual, like a meditation.

Magic Box | Tuesday

Wanda certainly had her work cut out for her at the store when she came in this morning. It looked clean enough, but there were a ton of delivery boxes piled up that hadn't been opened. Wanda got most of them into an orderly pile, and sat behind the counter to start opening boxes.

The first box she opened released a bunch of live doves. Better than dead doves, she supposed. Good thing she had the door propped open so the birds could escape because she really had no use for them here.

Wellspring Arms | Tuesday

It was honestly kind of impressive that Faye hadn't tried to sleep at work before.

But she'd had a big week last week, what with stowing away and learning all about how bad stormtroopers were at shooting people, and...look, Faye didn't really need an excuse to take a nap at work, but if anyone asked, she was still tired.

And yes, the meditation room would be a better spot for a nap, but sitting up here at the front with her sunglasses on provided an amazing cover for the moment. The pillow she'd grabbed might have slightly ruined the convincing effect, but still.

Caritas- Tuesday

At Caritas today, the zombies were playing music from a certain movie franchise, but only the bar scenes.

Not only was Kitty not going to question it, she kind of wanted to keep it as a thing.

Caritas was open, that song was going to get stuck in your head, and you know what? That's okay.
