Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday

There had been a delivery with various garden plants, from herbs to small trees, and Lucille had arranged some of them outside, hoping to invite customers looking to improve their gardens. Inside, at the back of the shop, the bonsais reigned though, since she felt they should not be forgotten among the lush flowers. The sign in the window was more suited to the season though:

20% off snapdragons and lavender
Be sure to feed your butterflies

As long as the butterflies didn't invade the shop. The spider solution had not been a good choice.

Also, in case Amaya stopped by, the snapdragons were the kind that didn't bite.

Wanda was very proud of herself for only hiding for two days after Wednesday's nonsense. She knew it was an island-wide thing but still, she felt had a lot to be embarrassed about in particular.

Eventually she got over herself, and it happened to be around the same time she got tired of the food in her apartment. She hadn't exactly asked for the giant bear claw she was given by the J, GOB worker but you know what? She'd take it.

The coffee last week had been good, but it hadn't done much more for Miguel than the usual stuff, so he was back to that this week. And googling.

"Bananas are good for energy," he told the cook. "So's protein." He showed him a recipe.

The cook eyed it skeptically, then shrugged. "Sure. But if she comes in, you have to protect me."

"I'll do my best," Miguel promised.

It was a nice day out, not too hot or too cold or too windy, and Miguel had mentioned this to a couple people lately, so here he was on the beach with a twelve-pack of craft beer and a case of halfway-decent beer. If people showed up, they'd have a meeting. If nobody else showed up, it'd just be him on the beach with a lot of beer. Win/win, really.
