Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [06/23].

The whole aquatic theme from the other week was back at Turtle & Canary that Wednesday, with the green streamers for seaweed and the blue and grey balloons meant to recall, plus the addition of some beautifully painted mopheads turned upside down to resemble....some sort of cephalopods, and a few fish constructed out of construction paper and paper plates.

There were also some pink flamingoes thrown into the mix--plastic, inflatable, a few just cardboard cutouts and at least one that seemed to have wandered in from the park. But even though those were for something else entirely, Shunsui still felt they were a nice touch.

And, sure, statistically speaking, the odds of Octavia-chan popping in this week were fairly low, he was still glad he had the scene be recreated. It wasn't too often he had a chance to take his naps under the sea.

Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [06/23].

There seemed to have beeen a lot of interesting rose-shaped succulents that had come into the shop that day, and Astrid was working on thinking of some creative ways of potting or arranging them when she felt an odd tension in the air, and looked up to see that the regular roses were a bit...on edge.

Now, there been wars of roses in the store before, but this one could be a little more interesting as they tried to stand their ground against what was clearly an imposter among their midsts...

Astrid started to wonder if she should consider some sort of flower pot barrier to help keep the two different plant types from fighting, and was wondering, too, if she should maybe skip out on the Wednesday activity for this week, if only because she was a little worried what she might be coming back to if she didn't stay in the shop to mediate between the two factions.

Before the rush of usuals trickled in for the night to keep Summer busy with slinging beers and jello shots, she was leaned over the counter a little on her phone, which wasn't that unusual, but whatever she was doing on the phone left her frowning a little.

"Moonlit Pour Garage?" she murmured. "Singing Escape Bar?" Her voice seemed to be getting more incredulous with each tap. "Rusty Brew Emporium??" She scoffed, but clicked again, shaking her head at the next result. "Ultimate bar name generator, my ass..."

Okay, though may Sly Monk wasn't terrible, but Merry Barman Hideout fully convinced her to put the phone away for now and get more focused on tonight's work, with maybe...one speculative glance at Tino to perhaps ask for his thoughts and opinions, but then realizing that some of his suggestions might be things she might not be able to ever recover from.

She had time to figure it out, anyway. Maybe she was just waiting for the perfect a-ha! moment to hit.
