Turtle & Canary; Monday [08/02].

When things were a bit quiet around the island, the supplies and inventory aspects of Summer's usual Monday tasks went pretty smoothly and quickly, and since it seemed that Apu had a pretty good handle on the whole dinosaur theme he was going for today, she was spending some time behind the counter, focusing on some other projects that had sort of fallen by the wayside.

Namely, the whole arrack-focused party she'd tossed around a little with Seivarden, and how she'd like it to be a fancy dinner party, and somewhat exclusive, which, if you looked at her list of potential guests...it was absolutely not.

Which meant having to cull the list a little and figure out the most optimal combination, because otherwise, she just may as well invite the whole damn island, at this point.

Which she was still definitely considering, buuuuut....

Look, proper party planning only looked easy sometimes!

Furnado Animal Shelter; Monday [08/02].

Thanks to a oh-so-handwavey visit from a certain former employee of the shelter over the weekend, Sakaki had a new task to add to her duties at Furnado and that was cleaning the fishtanks. Apparently, it had been a pretty big deal around here in the past, and Sidon had shown her all sorts of methods and techniques to make it easier and more efficient, and even though Sidon was incredibly intimidating and a little bit scary, he was also very nice and enthusiastic and managed to instil in Sakaki an incredible drive to make sure that she did this fish-tank cleaning thing with all the dedication and perfection that it deserved.

It was just fish tanks, sure, but the thought of potentially just disappointing Sidon with her performance was somehow much, much scarier than Sidon's presence as a whole.

Unfortunately, cleaning the fish tanks also meant having to be extra diligent in making sure that the cats didn't take advantage of the fact that the fish were now a little easier to get to, which meant that, even though she was clearly deep into a project, Sakaki was definitely not about to avoid the usual cat-related injuries this week.

Caritas, Monday

It was Monday again and Seivarden had had nothing better to do than to look for new specials, and look at pictures of ridiculous Earth ideas of spaceships. It seemed to be a quiet night at Caritas until Tino decided to sing karaoke. Seivarden didn't know the songs, but even Breq would sing them better (Seivarden might be partial), and it turned out even ear plugs on Earth was useless.
