Shunsui felt that he'd nearly recovered from all those days where he'd been insistant on the quite frankly rather insane pursuit of hitting 10,000 steps every day between Wednesday and Friday, but he figured he might have to take a nap here on his shift that day just to make sure. One can never truly be too cautious when it came to recovery from such arduous tasks.

But he was, admittedly, slightly distracted, narrowing his eyes and tilting his head at any of the signs bearing the store's name on it, especially the one outside, and then he had to ask, "Apu-san, did Summer-chan go and add glitter to all of our signs, except only on the ampersand in particular? Or I suppose it could have been Astrid-chan....?"

What seemed like an innocent question inspired quite the indigant huff from Apu, who informed Shunsui that it was actually his work, and if Shunsui would just look around, he would notice the signs that pointed out that, in celebration of National Ampersand Day, all products with an ampersand in the brand or product name (Arm & Hammer, Johnson & Johnson, Ben & Jerry's, Dolce & Gabbana...) would be 50% off.

Shunsui just shook his head, glad that he could be secure in the fact that Apu would handle all of that himself and not expect Shunsui to actually deal with anything that specific and complicated outside of maybe having to remember the discount at the registers if he helped with any check-outs.

"Well," he mused, "you have fun with that ♥. I am going to be sure to celebrate the occasion with plenty of R & R ♥ ♥ ♥."

You know, it was bad enough having to deal with Apu's weird obsession with National Fake Holidays with the store, but now Summer was dealing with something similiar in her actual life, and she'd finally caved. Her dad had not stopped talking and/or texting her about National Honey Month for a week now, and to prevent having to deal with it literally all month, especially when she was kind of busy right now trying to plan, like, anniversary stuff, she acknowledged that it was National Honey Month, promised to do a promotion at the store with his honey, agreed to be dragged to some Honey Festival at some point during the month, and, to hopefully put an end to this once and for all, even guaranteed a thematic jello presention for both the bar and her Instagram to promote her jello shot catering.

She felt like doing something like this was a little risky in Fandom, because if this wasn't a big fat invitation to some weird bee-related incidents, then she didn't know what was, but honestly? If it got her dad to shut up about National Honey Month, it would all be worth it.

So she did her thing, got it set up, and then tried very hard to not just be on her phone trying to make plans for this weekend in between customers and sort of kind of failed, like, big time, but, um, hi, anniversary stuff, kiiiiind of a big deal!

The air was vaguely cooler, the sun set a skosh earlier, Irene no longer had an NPC spouse nor an aversion to silverware (possibly unrelated?) so clearly, that meant just one thing: it was fall, even if the calendar argued there were a few weeks left to go in summer, yet.

So, armed with a pumpkin spice chai thing from the Perk, Irene set to work laying out some decorative leaves around the shop, a touch here and there of orange and gold glitter, and, naturally, a big display of seasonally-flavored lubricant, front and center for anyone who walked in.

Dite's was open and festive.

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

There were a couple of people taking measurements around the club tonight, too. One of them seemed particularly focused on the area around the door to Eric's office.

Octavia was not going to ask. She was behind the bar, back to her practice with mixing drinks and reading up on how to make the virgin versions taste closer to the real thing. And then about using pumpkin spice since it was the season again.

There weren't a lot of NPCs people around, and the sound system had decided Bauhaus was the way to go tonight. The Devil's Nest was open, and sort of chill in a goth kind of way.

JGoB - Wednesday late afternoon

After class had finished, Goose headed down to JGob before returning to his apartment, decided to order a muffin to try and sat down at one of the tables to check on his news feed from home.

So far everything seemed to be straightforward, he hadn’t received any mission orders to return home yet so he was following up on what had been happening while he at Fandom.

In the meantime Niko had sent holo vids of the progress being made with the remaining Gherkin population being settled on the planet Kirwin so he was spending the some time checking her updates.
