Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [09/07].

It was a very chill day at Groovy Tunes that Tuesday, as Tisarwat mostly looked over sales reports and inventory in between curling up around a few cups of tea and digging the chill sounds the stereo decided to pump out today, and she was looking at the Christmas decorations she'd put up last week and wondering if she should take them down or just save herself the trouble of having to put them up again when it was actually December by just leaving them all up now.

With another sip of her tea, she decided she'd decide after she finished this cup, maybe.

After all, despite Troy's concerns, unlike the actual Christmas decorations from last year, these weren't actually harming anyone, and from a completely outsider perspective, red and green did look a little garish together, but they also seemed to have a certain aesthetic charm.

Maybe not today, at least. Today, she felt, seemed to be all about just chilling, and that worked for her just fine.

Wanda had missed a lot of things during the Blip, including many memes. So when she arrived to work today to see the 12 Foot Home Depot Skeleton waiting for her, she didn't realize it had been all over Twitter last year. To her it was just an absurdly big plastic skeleton that clearly had to go outside because who the hell had the space to put that indoors?

Other than Home Depot, obviously.

Luckily it was nice out (because it was early September, and not October), so Wanda had no problem spending part of her shift outside, using her magic to arrange the skeleton so it looked like it was leaning against the side of the building like a cool skeleton guy.

She had to make her own fun, here.

Wellspring Arms | Tuesday

Sure, it had been a weird few days that had rounded out last week, but Faye was almost blasé about weirdness now. She'd gotten into the habit of sort of taking stock of what was different -- her hair was back to chin length and she no longer cared about the Beatles, as far as notable changes went -- and then getting back to her usual routine.

And today, as she took her spot and flung her feet up on the counter, she frowned a little at the very idea that she had a routine. She was spontaneous. She was a free spirit.

She was definitely not the kind of person to, like, have a steady job, or a steady apartment, or a steady...alien.

Except how she was.

The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

Things were finally moving properly with the redesign. A few humans of various genders poured into the club early on in the evening, taking measurements for where the new stage would go.

Obviously, it was 'in most of the axe range'.

Lucifer sat back at the bar and watched, occasionally sipping his drink. Yes. This would be much better.

He was also putting in an order for a new, much grander piano.

Community Center Class: Making The World A Better Place (Tuesday Evening)

"Welcome back," Yang said cheerfully, once everyone arrived to the Community Center room that was now filled with... boxes.  So many boxes.  

"If you pay attention to the mainland news, you may have heard that a hurricane really wacked the heck out of the Southern and Eastern United States recently," she continued.  "So, I reached out to the Red Cross, and we're now a temporary volunteer site, so we can help out."  

"In our case, by packing emergency supply boxes!  Which, is a skill.  What DO you need in an emergency?  How do you know?  In a moment of panic, deciding what is a necessity and what isn't can be difficult.  So, we're gonna talk about what makes a good emergency supply kit, and what maybe you should have in your grab-and-go bag under your bed."  

Everyone had one of those, right?  Right?

"So, first off, I printed out the official list from Ready.gov for all of you," Yang said, handing out the paper lists.  "But for a personal emergency kit?  You REALLY need extras of your medications, but be sure not to let them lapse.  Know where your official paperwork is, like your birth certificate, passport, etc.  Keep charged batteries, both the disposable kind and the reuseable ones.  There's small ones you can get to keep your phone charged, some of them are even solar-powered!  There's also bigger reuseable ones that can even jump a car."  

"If you can get a portable generator, great, but those can be expensive and hard to get/upkeep.  Do you have a pet?  Make sure you have their vet paperwork and their food and meds! If you have any food in your kit, rotate it out before it goes bad."

"And, because we're Fandom Island, I'm sure most of us have weapons in our go-bags, so be sure you have your weapon maintenance equipment. I have to have spare parts for my arm!"

"But... that's probably not a problem for, like, regular people that have been displaced from their homes, or are still there but in bad situations."

"So grab a box, and the list that goes with it! All the storage boxes are labeled, let's work together to get these packages ready to send out! And if you need someone to lift something heavy, yell for me or Sidon."
