Covent Garden Flowers, Friday (10/22)

Among this morning's deliveries was, of all things, a box full of tiny but real pumpkins on tiny vines. Yasha was not as sure as she might have been a couple of years ago that this shouldn't be possible, but in any case she wasn't questioning it. And why would she? They were adorable.

Clearly, the thing to do here was to make garlands out of those tiny pumpkins, and then weave them all together with some flowers into autumn-themed flower crowns. Clearly.

By mid-morning she had several already done and hung up on a little display stand at the counter, ready for sale, and was contentedly in the process of making more. As ways to pass a workday went, this one was really nice and soothing.

Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Friday [10/22].

After a week of mostly getting thing started on setting up her brand new shiny Etsy shop, which did include now having a computer in the shop, which will, truth be told, likely just end up collecting dust half the time, Amaya was ready to spend most of today working on some finishing touches on a much smaller, personal project that, at this point in its progress, mostly involved a lot of finicky detail work that had her less at the forge and more bent over one of her worktables and half wondering if she should get her glasses to help her out with all these finer details.

It wasn't work she usually did, but she did rather enjoy it, and, besides, if you were going to a masquerade party later that day, why just go out and buy a mask when you could just make one for yourself?

And if it went over well, she figured that would be a very logical addition to the new shiny Etsy dividsion to her enterprise!

Fix & Clean- Friday

Dwight had finally adjusted back to his normal pre-trip routine and was making the most of the morning. He had gone for a run as soon as it was light enough and now he was back in his shop, working on a couple of projects that he had lined up- some for a couple of people around the island and some for himself.

He had also received the first delivery from the vendor he had found while up in Boston and was finishing unloading and organizing all of that. And so the doors were open and Dwight was ready (as he could be) for the day.
