Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Friday [11/19].
Friday, November 19th, 2021 05:07 amIt had been...a bit of an odd week for Amaya, really, and she was hoping, by now, that she'd managed to squeeze in enough work at the forge to sort of get that oddness out of her system. Yesterday, she had to admit, was a bit rough. She was having trouble getting the new mace to replace the one from the wall to work quite right, which was particularly frustrating, because she was looking forward to making the new one extra spiky, but it just wasn't having it that day. The longsword had been easier, and so she went back to consider that one again this morning, after spending some time testing the weight and the heft and deciding how she wanted to shape the blade further before getting into anything like fancy details and things like that.
And, considering fancy details, she supposed she should be working a bit on those skewers for Dr. Lecter, but, well, she didn't think they would take too long, and you couldn't pound out an off week with skewers. No, sir, she needed nice big projects to sink her hammer into right now, so that she could really drive home her resolve that, well, technically, she and Irene never did say anything about when that business date might happen, so perhaps Amaya really should just cut the losses on the mace after all and hope by now Irene would just forget about it.
And once she managed to get that settled in her head as a prospect, the work started to come much easier, too!
The Forge is open!
