It had been a bit of a rough night for Dwight. This time of year usually was. And the added shenanigans the other day with the mistletoe was not helping in the least. And whether it was picked up by association or something else, little Snoopy also had a rough time settling in as well. So the two of them had spent much of the night sitting in the recliner before finally drifting off.

Dwight woke up sometime in the morning to find the pup still sound asleep on his chest and candles glowing in the window. For some time he just laid there, enjoying the quiet and stillness. But eventually, the day started back up, and Dwight found himself walking into the workshop, making a b-line for the coffee pot. He needed coffee. Lots and lots of coffee...

Caritas- Tuesday

The candles in the window had inspired the ivy garland going up to trim the bar anywhere there weren't lights, so while the place was definitely looking decorated, at least it was tastefully so.

While Tino did that, Kitty put up the flyers advertising the New Year's party at Caritas.

Which was why she was also testing drink recipes leading up to it.

So it was Rosa's first day of work literally anywhere other than her papi's diner in Roswell. It was a little bit nerve-wracking. But she was here. She was young(er than she was supposed to be), unsupervised, and given free rein by (the guy she assumed was) her boss to decorate the shit out of the place.

She put on some music, turning it up loud -- loud enough to be heard down the street, probably -- and surveyed her new not-quite-kingdom. Then pulled her stencils and spray paint out of her backpack.

That drumset display definitely needed a spaceship.

Community Center Class: Making The World A Better Place (Tuesday Evening)

"Last class for the year!" Yang hollered cheerfully. "As the handwavey email said, if you're allergic to animals, I hope you took some OTC drugs, because we're off to an animal shelter!"

Not the one HERE. That was Prompto's territory, and Yang hadn't felt comfortable asking him for that favor. Especially after what she'd heard through the radio about him going on dates.

She'd loved visiting him there when they were both stupid kids students, and getting covered in puppies. She didn't want to tarnish those memories with a new, awkward one.

Instead, Yang grinned brightly at her gathered party, blonde hair whipping in the winter wind. "So let's get through the portal," she cheered. "On the other side is a branch of the Animal Humane Society."

"As one of the nation's leading animal welfare organizations, the Animal Humane Society is changing the way shelters care for animals, and directly engaging their communities. "Today, you've got a bunch of options. Take dogs for walks. Play with cats. Help the groomers bathe these babies to help them find good homes. The holidays were well and truly on their way. Lucifer was no fan of the religious connotations of the holiday, but he had to admit the festive atmosphere had a way of, eventually, descending on him as well.

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas..."

And that meant playing some of the season's classier old ditties. The ones that didn't sound rather unfortunate by modern standards, at least.

Tiny watched him play the piano for a while. Lucifer liked to tell himself it was because of the quality of his performance, but really, the man was likely just happy Lucifer didn't seem to be causing a scene, for once.

The Photo Hut - Tuesday

When Liz came downstairs to open the Photo Hut that morning she immediately saw all the single candles decorated with ivy everywhere in the windows and for a moment she stared at them, a mix of fascination and fear. This was real fire not like the Yule log from the other day and while she knew the candles were part of the Christmas festivities for the season, there was a part of her that felt uncomfortable being near them. She thought about maybe not opening up the store and waiting til they were all gone but she thought if she stayed focus and didn’t think about the close proximity to the candles she should be fine.

As she opened the store for the day, she kept a safe distance as possible from the candles, in case just by being near it she could set off a reaction and she tried to keep herself busy with admin work.
