Shunsui swept into the store that (technically still) morning as usual, warmed by the good spirits given off by the island itself and the good spirits given from the inside of his sake bottles, thinking very little of it as he drifted his away toward the counter to prepare for his typical day of napping between sips of sake and perhaps even the occasional customer to drift in and out.

There was, or so he thought, nothing strange about this, although it seemed as though Apu thought differently, and Shunsui squinted at him a little bit as the most stalwart of employees made the attempt to explain.

"But what do you mean, it isn't actually Wednesday?"

Apu just sighed and figured it was best to just...not even bother.

Some of those angry jigokuchō from Nanao-chan were going to start making a lot more sense to Shunsui now, though.

Miguel was at work. In protest. Not that he was particularly religious, but shouldn't he at least have gotten to sleep in today?

He was wearing his ugly Spider-man Christmas sweater, so there. But the cook was wearing a hat with LED lights twinkling all over it, the dishwasher had a sweatshirt on that read Save a tree: celebrate Chanukah!, and the busboy had one with a tree that glittered and read Merry Solstice!, so he was at least in good company.
