Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [12/19].

Astrid wasn't expecting too much to be going on when she got into work at the flower shop that day; the theme of the week had definitely been 'incredibly quiet,' which, all things considered, she was more than happy to embrace. She did sort of wish something interesting would happen, though, if only to help her stop thinking about the fact that they were coming up fast on her last semester here, meaning she had maybe half a year to try and figure out the rest of her life, but, at the same time, she was pretty sure no one really ever figured that sort of thing out, some people were just better at making it seem like they weren't completely winging it than others.

But since there were few distractions and the flowers seemed almost normal that day, Astrid was mostly in her sketchbook, trying to sketch out what might be her final mural for the bedroom. She had plenty of ideas, but none of them really seemed...final mural quality, so there would be a lot of started and dismissed sketches that day, until finally, she would just give up and start scribbling down oleanders again.

Save for a little bit of time-lag, what with the whole 'not even realizing he'd lost several days, which really should have been worrisome that he didn't even notice anything was even going,' Shunsui was actually a little grateful for all that nonsense from the previous week, because not only did he manage to avoid being involved in any way, shape, or form, but it appeared to have happened at just the moment when Yami-jii decided to rally up everyone for extra training back at the Seireitei, and what a shame that Shunsui couldn't be reached!

Of course, now he could be reached, and there was a little bit of fall-out from that, but that was when having a friend like Jūshirō came in particularly handy, and Shunsui was able to shirk his duties back home entirely for now, in a bargaining effort that would surely never come back to bite him in ass later at future date...

...

...anyway, there was actually very little napping going on behind the counter that Wednesday, at it seemed Summer-chan's influnce was in full effect as Apu-san's misinterpretation of a particular holiday for that day led to the man setting up his phone in certain positions on the shelves and dancing to music apparently only in his head, which was utterly fascinating to watch...

..so much so that when Apu-san got irritated by such an unwelcome audience, Shunsui just shifted to pull up the streams from the security cameras when he moved to a different part of the store. Which earned him disparaging looks.

"I may not know much about your social media here in this world, Apu-san," Shunsui drawled at him with a shrug of his shoulder, "but it seems a little misguided to get upset with me watching you do this when you're going to be posting it up for the whole internet to see..."

He would suggest that if he didn't want people spectating 'IRL', he should simply do that at home, but then he realized he wasn't even sure if Apu-san even had a home....

Considering he'd been working on them since yesterday, Summer was tempted to inform Tino that he probably really didn't need that many mini liquor bottle ornaments for the New Year's party, but, at the same time, it kept Tino busy and occupied and out of her hair, soooo...

She was just going to leave him to it for now, until the bar inevitably got busier, but even then, with it being the break week still, it wasn't like she expected it to even get all that busy.

And if she maybe swiped one of those little liquor bottles for herself when he wasn't looking, well, then, he should be better at multitasking, and her trying it was just, you know, quality control.

Honestly, at this point, she was just glad to not be doing Christmas-themed jello shots anymore.

The Perk - Wednesday Morning

The last time Liz had been in the Perk had been a couple of days after … everything had happened, so she was a bit nervous about returning to the Perk later that Wednesday morning when she decided to have a coffee break and get her usual black coffee with three sugars and see what would happen if she stayed a bit longer … what the reaction would be to her being in public again.

She was going to have to start getting used to being out in public, she couldn’t just hide away in the shop and her apartment and at some point she was going to have to apologise to Travis and Stark and everything but well she hadn’t figured out how to do that apology yet. How did you apologise for setting someone on fire and killing them and then they were fine the next day? She didn’t have much experience when it came to that aspect in the aftermath of an episode.

So now she had taken a seat by the window and was staring out of it, holding onto her coffee nervously as she began to drink it and wait to see what would happen.
