Among the many wonderful aspects of working in a museum was that it was cool inside even when the weather made one regret every life choice which led to ever being out of doors.

And Steven had been in deserts.

(All right technically just the one desert but still.)

Steven wasn't particularly looking forward to the walk home but for now he was behind the welcome desk and being grateful for whoever in this dimension had invented air conditioning.

Taking care of a roommate that was still quite a bit under the weather had its benefits. Namely, being blissfully unaware of any sort of meat seltzer endemic that seemed to have swept over the island.

It might have given a little more perspective, though, on exactly why the sound systems seemed insistent on playing Bologna Violenta today, as Tisarwat sipped at her (thankfully meat-free) tea and worked on some orders and whatever else little admin things needed doing at the computer.

The blenders were back in order, which was wonderful news for Annie. Just like, in general, for her life.

The fact that all of the mixers were gone except for Mountain Dew was less wonderful, since she was really gonna have to get creative there. Also, kind of gross, right?

Given Jeff's new attire, which Scott had seen before hitting up the bakery for his offering offering, he figured something kinda tropical might be the best for today.

A coconut-covered donut was going to have to be the answer, unfortunately.

But hey, at least Scott also contributed a little (empty) cup with a little umbrella in it, so it would look like Jeff was having a really chill time.

(He would be so apologetic if it turned out Jeff would have liked a real drink. And also worried about, like, wrath.)

Liz was finding that she was quite enjoying the process of knitting and her baby sweater was starting to come along quite nicely since she had ended up picking turquoise, yellow and grey as the colours. Even if it did feel a bit weird to be knitting during this heat but she was trying to stay focused on her task at hand and not think about how hot it was and she did have the tutorial in the background so she could refer to it every now and then since it was still a new process for her.

She had her knitting supplies with her today and she also had with her a journal so she could begin writing everything down for Prompto as well in addition to the photos that she had been taking for him.

In between that though she was working on her normal admin tasks, answering a few emails and trying to stay on top the work she had to do in the store and keeping as busy as she could.
