Last night, Summer had, thankfully, turned back into a human after having spent the week as a squirrel, and no one knew about it except for her boyfriend (okay, okay, and the people who followed her on socials since she was definitely back to posting shit again). No awkward transformations back in dumb public places she shouldn't have been, leaving her naked in front of people that didn't need to see that, because she was smart, she had a plan, and she was in comfy squirrel isolation in the lab until this all blew over, as it should be.

The worst fallout she had to deal with was Pancakes being a little miffed that Barry had to take care of her for a week, but, whatever, she'll get over it.

Summer was just glad that it stopped in time for Wednesday, and with enough time that she could actually make her shots today instead of just throwing some into the quick maker. Unsure if she'd be in tonight or not, it seemed Tino had also attempted to make his own jello shots, too, much to the same goopy, unbalanced results as last time, only this time, he'd also added gummy bears, as if that would help.

"So, what?" she asked. "Are we drowning bears now? Just leave it to the experts, man."

Modern music was something that Shunsui didn't really keep very up-to-date on, so he barely even noticed that all the music playing in the store that day was by Duran Duran. It was definitely not the sort of thing he tended to notice.

He did, however, notice that, when he eventually breezed his way into the store, Issa-chan in tow because she was rather popular with the customers and did enjoy stalking through the aisles a bit, that the turtle and the canary on the counter had been outfitted with tiny little lion's manes. Which was adorable, and he wondered if he should stop Apu-san when he started to stalk out with another one for Issa-chan or just wait and see how that ended up playing out...

He did also wonder if he'd managed to get one on the cheese panda, too, but, of course, he wasn't going to actually bother going over there to see for himself.

Eddie still didn't really get the concept of fancy coffees, but he did understand the concept of free coffee, so when the barista offered him a charcoal frappe for free he didn't immediately say no. All he had to do was give her an honest review when he was done.

So he said yes, and was handed a black drink with whipped cream on top. Looked like the devil's latte, which was pretty cool and on brand for him. He took the drink to a corner table, fully prepared to tell this woman if it sucked.

The sound system at the club was back to more jazzy tunes this week, and at an acceptabble volume, to boot. Unfortunately, though, Octavia had a persistent headache, so she was probably going to be spending a lot of her shift trying to find a way to make it quieter, to go with the extra-dimmed lights around the club.

She was also going to be spending a lot of her shift wondering why she wasn't just skipping out early on her shift and going home. Sometimes her stubborn nature got in her own way.
