Despite the fact that Annie had actually slept for a not-insignificant portion of the day, she was still pretty tired when she wound her way into the bar tonight. And after two weeks away -- and the things she'd gone through over those two weeks -- she was too happy to be back at her regular old bartending job to even care about what in the hell was up with the olive thing.

But she did also kind of wonder if that was for her, the balloon-arch-style structure of olives constructed behind the bar tonight.

"I like it," she told Tiny, her only contribution towards him tonight. No questions of whether he'd missed her, or explanations of where she'd gone.

Her specials were gonna be simple, too.

With no class tomorrow there was no need to make any cupcakes (though Stark might still bake something later if he felt like it). That didn't mean there was no need to eat any baked goods. As far as Stark was concerned there was nearly always a need for that. So he found himself in the bakery in the afternoon carefully studying the pastry case.

"The peanut butter brownies are good," one of the bakers called from the back. "Or the mocha cake? You'll like everything in there, you know." Everyone in this establishment knew that, honestly.

"Mocha cake," Stark said finally. It did look good and then there was coffee and chocolate at once.

Once he had his slice he found an open table by the window, as he usually did, so he could eat and look outside.

So. Octavia was a raccoon. Again. Which meant that Duke brought her with him to the diner today, whether she liked it or not.

Judging by the amount of squirming she was doing in his arms, this was definitely an "or not" situation.

He set her up in her own booth with a pile of shiny, shiny silverware and some steamed mussels for her to play with and eat, then set himself up with some paperwork nearby, so he could keep an eye on her.

The staff didn't so much as blink over the situation. They'd all been here long enough to know that their boss didn't bring a raccoon in lightly.

Even though Liz usually spent Thursdays working on the general admin side of things, she was spending the morning finishing up the displays that she had started the other day before she started tackling her emails and paperwork. She was finding that that was taking a lot longer now to finish setting up displays, so she was being careful with moving and bending.

Once she got the rest of the new stock unboxed and put on display, Liz returned to her computer to finish the rest of the day’s work and she decided to get a head start on her end of month financial report, she was trying to keep focused and busy so that she wouldn’t think about the fact that she was getting closer to the one year anniversary of Pittsburgh but she was beginning to find it rather difficult to concentrate.
