Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [04/26].

The day had started fairly normal, run of the mill, nothing special or spectacular about it, unless you counted Apu rocking a Canadian tuxedo for Denim Day. So there was maybe a brief interlude of checking the internet to see what was available as far as denim kimono went, just to satiate a brief burst of curiosity, but, for the most part, it was a very typical morning here at Turtle & Canary, with Shunsui settling in behind the counter for some nice drinking, some nice napping, some nice flirting with any ladies who may have the misfortune of drifting in....nothing much to see here.
Of course, that all changed quite dramatically, after a while, and swung very hard in the other direction. It started with a crash, over in Aisle Handwavey, which caused Shunsui to frown and give a suspicious look that way. But, no, it wasn't the cheese panda, he could sense him still over by all his cheeses. And then another crash, like someone had swept an arm along an entire shelf and knocked everything that was on it onto the floor. He tried to sense where Apu was, at this point, which was over in the back room, which meant....
Shunsui sighed, adjusted his hat so it was firmly in place, and supposed he'd actually have to work that day and find out what all this was about, and that was when he found the sloth.
Now, the thing about Shunsui was that, despite his lazy and lackadaisical disposition at most time, when it came to fighting, he was actually quite quick, and smooth, and intense. Maybe a bit less on that last one, considering it was just a sloth, and he wouldn't have even bothered being those first other things, either, if it weren't for the fact that the sloth, when it sighted Shunsui, turned its destructive tendencies his way.
Shunsui didn't typically like to fight even when the entire fate of the world was in the balance; he certainly didn't feel like fighting now, but the sloth, as he moved in to try and remove it from the store, had very different ideas. And one wouldn't think that a few scratches sustained in the attempts to extricate such a beast would have that much effect on an undead god (give or take your translation, anyway), and yet....
Before too long, there were then two sloths terrorizing the aisles of Turtle & Canary, albeit very slowly, and one still even managed to keep his hat.
