Furnado Animal Shelter; Wednesday [11/01].

Well, everything with last week sort of put a pretty big damper on Prompto's plans to have a pet parade for Halloween, and so today was mostly about switching some of the merch displays from Halloween to a more Thanksgiving vibe, while pondering if he should still try to pull something off. Maybe this weekend? He should ask around, get a feel for if people would want to participate, maybe drum up some interest first, but there just didn't seem to be a whole lot of time for things lately except work.

His mind then drifted a little bit to class yesterday and taking pictures of the animals in their costumes and then over to how he and Liz always talked a lot about making calendars with their photos, and that could actually be a great idea to promote the shelter, maybe...

Lots of thoughts bouncing around that brain of his that day, which was nice, because it helped distract him from feeling like he'd kind of missed a good time last night at Liliana's party, but, when he thoughts did start to stray that way, he just reminded himself of how much of a nervous wreck he'd likely be if he had gone, and that wouldn't have been a fun time for anyone, really.

Caritas; Wednesday [11/01].

It was November 1st, so Summer was not at all surprised to come into Caritas for her shift that evening and find that Tino was already putting up Christmas garlands and lights and other decor, including outfitting the zombie band with Santa hats and a lot of candy canes everywhere.

"Just...skipping right over Thanksgiving now, huh?" she said. "You do know that the day before Thanksgiving is considered one of the biggest day for business for bars, right? Why would you just skip right over that?"

Of course, she actually had anticipated this, and, in fact, came prepared with her specials board, but she felt the key difference here was that she had done it ironically, while Tino? Probably not so much.

Irene would be loath to admit it, but she might have been just a touch hungover today. (She also had a few marks and stubbornly itchy patches on her skin, hidden away, where dress tape had left a mark, but that wasn't anything particularly new -- just annoying on top of a headache.)

But never mind; today was a great day, because today was the day she started putting out her Thanksgiving cornucopia, a Dite's tradition!

So Wednesday found her up in the shop's window, carefully arranging a table in the window with a cornucopia atop it, pumpkins and squash streaming out of it artfully.

And carrots. Don't look too closely.
