Perhaps she'd been going a little overboard; waking up with her muscles sore and tight, Sakurazaki thought she could hear Peter's voice in her head, nagging at her for working herself too hard and how doing so would only lead to failing when the time came. Not that she could ever really picture Peter nagging, but the characterure in her mind was right. She couldn't burn herself out before the weekend.

So this morning's training was a jog around the town, some sprinting and jumping in the preserve. Light and simple.

[[ she's definately interuptable ]]

Jamie opens up the store and settles down behind the counter with his trusty encyclopedia to studyas he waits for customers to show up.

Sister Rosette had told herself that if the weather was clear today, then she would set to doing a little maintanence on the graveyard...cut the grass, trim the hedges, take care of any particularly overgrown or biting rose bushes (because you have to figure that anyone buried on this island with a rose bush overgrowing their headstone has probably cursed or possessed said rose bush, but one couldn't very well have roses biting people should they only want to pay some respects to the dead).

However, the day was clear, but it was also hot. Rosette had tried a little bit of caretaking, but was quickly ready to sweat out of her habit. So she pulled up a chair, made herself some nice cold lemonade, and propped her feet up on a headstone (she had her gun loaded with Gospels in case the person buried there really did mind) while encouraging and guiding Chrono in the task. Hey, he was a demon. He was used to the heat, right?

[[ open for interaction; she'll probably wave and say hi and maybe try to convince you to help if you pass by ]]

The air conditioning in A&S is broken today. While Edmund awaits a repairman from the mainland, the doors are propped open, fans are blowing, and he is nowhere in sight.

What's a dogsbody for if not minding the store while the owner hides from the heat in his air conditioned flat?

All and Sundries is open.

Cafe Fina, Tuesday

Walter opened the restaurant and wondered just when Alfred would be returning from his latest journey off the island. His shifts were more challenging with Alfred there, but more interesting as well.

Wadsworth wasn't really missing Cafe Fina's owner. He's charming like that.

Jane is standing behind the bar with Tino while he instructs her in the wonderful world of mixed drinks.

Jane is looking at Tino like he has eyes on stalks.

If somebody tried to water down something she was going to drink with fruit juice, she'd probably deck them. So the idea that people will pay, and in some cases pay more, for less alcohol? Not quite getting through.

Then there's the matter of the sign that announces the staff will sing if tipped $1 or more. That's not quite sitting well with Jane.

[[ooc: Wow, hope I'm doing this on the right day. :) Please wait for OCD. Open! Feel free to mod Tino, he won't sing for you though. Jane might, but it may take a lot more then $1... It's not like she's Trixie. SP for a few hours, but I'm here.]]

Ivanova was back on the beach as the sun went down. Powerful draw this beach seemed to have. Maybe it was the abundance of that which she didn't have back on the station - water, earth, fresh air. But whenever she needed to think, out to the beach she came. She settled back in the sand, propping herself up on her elbows. A bottle of vodka - not Midnight Hobo, for once - sat upright in the sand beside her, but it was barely touched.

Angel and Anakin weren't the only alumni who knew how to get a good brood on.

Jarod wasn't behind the desk, but there was a good reason for that--the air conditioning had broken that afternoon and he was down in the basement with his laptop, switching between the owner's manual and a repairman's guide as he worked.

Every so often he'd take a few swallows from the large container of ice water on the stairs, then get back to work. The girls weren't going to be pleased if they had to work in the stifling heat.

On the desk was a large ice bucket and a sign:

TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF AND STAY A WHILE.
THE ICE IS YOURS TO ENJOY.
PLEASE STAY HYDRATED.

I'M IN THE BASEMENT IF YOU NEED ME FOR ANYTHING. HOPEFULLY THE AIR WILL BE ON SHORTLY.

John opens the store, a bit late. He's not feeling good, and it might not just be the heat.

Sparky open for all your pestering John Connor shop needs!

Bel shimmered to Selkie Cove, searching for his girlfriend-turned-fish. The waxing moon gave him enough light to see the shoreline and the water lapping at the rocks.

"Phoebe!" he called out toward the waves.
