Luke's Diner, Wednesday

Jude is most certainly not juggling pickle jars between customers. Because that would be wrong. Funny, but wrong. Besides, mopping up glass was such a hassle.

Luke's is open.

Fred paced the shop nervously, his eyes on the crate of slinkies that the "Ups" man had delivered on Monday afternoon. He knew the spell to animate them, but how to incorporate the word so they didn't all start slinking right away...

Fred heard a quiet slinking at his feet and looked down. Puck, his permanently animated test-slinky, was nudging him gently on the side of his foot, a small green rubber ball next to it. Fred smiled, petted the slinky, and tossed the ball. The slinky wagged excitedly and slinked off to fetch it's ball.

Now back to the problem of the crate of slinkies...

Caffeine was good. Caffeine was great. Caffeine deserved a song and dance number. However, Kawalsky was all song and danced out, so he was just going to get some caffeine, eat his muffin and save everyone's ears from a rendition of Taylor the Latte Boy Girl.

[OOC: For all your afternoony Perk needs. Thread between Kawalsky and Molly is closed for sekrit sneakiness, but feel free to say hi after that!]

Jane has decided she really likes the ocean. She had never been to the shore before and she found if peaceful.

She's picks her way out on a rock formation that sticks out into the water and sits there letting the spray hit her face.

Just because she has a bottle of bourbon, doesn't mean that she's going to drink it.

But she probably will.

Sister Rosette was getting better at this hangover thing. Her headache was still pretty massive and she could only eat dry toast for breakfast (which she had at eleven thirty, half an hour after getting up), but the light spilling through the windows didn't hurt her eyes so much this time. Recalling the swell new bartender and that utterly hilarious Japanese kid (although giggling over it again was rather painful) helped significantly.

Today's task was going to be checking out to see how well the organ worked, but Rosette's head was very strongly against that. So she just sort of laid in a pew while Chrono finished the windows from the other day.

[[ post made for...well, myself. but Rosette's available for others, too. I'd appriciate it if the reason for Chrono's reaction was NFB, but that there was one is a-okay.]]

After some handwavey planning, John and Aeryn head into the bowling alley for the meetup with Rory and Anakin. It is certainly not a double date, even if it might look that way. It is simply a friends outing. Which is probably a good thing, since Aeryn figures she'll spend half the time talking with Anakin about how everyone here is weird and this makes no sense anyway.

See, totally a friends outing.

[For John, Rory and Anakin, but Fast Eddie's is open for all your bowl-o-ramatic needs.]

This morning? Had been a very good one, indeed. An interesting workshop with a real live police officer to talk to. Seras made a mental note to thank Alfred for choosing Commissioner Gordon as his stand in.

She'd straightened up the store humming a song and possibly with a little shimmy in her movements. But, just a little one.

Now, Seras was at the counter a magazine featuring samovars open and one with bath oils and accessories right next to it, waiting to be perused.

Seras was glad to be back in Fandom, of course, but there were some things a girl couldn't help missing.

All and Sundries is open.

The walk from the Sin to Caritas had been sweltering, but the air conditioning in the bar seemed to be working well. Which was probably a good thing; zombies in over one hundred degree heat wasn't a smell he was looking to experience anytime soon.

The singing sign was still there, but Jarod made a point to stand in front of it as he worked on a crossword puzzle.
