Contrary to the mainland weather reports, it started to drizzle in Fandom. Throughout the day, the rain would increase, slowly but steadily. By late evening, it would be raining pretty hard.

[OOC: Here begins our week of weathermodding. A full explanation will be coming in [livejournal.com profile] fhplotterywheel tonight.]

Tuesday
Alamo Day!

True, it wasn't a religious holiday. But it was a great excuse to ressurrect the cowboy costume from Halloween and run around with Chrono in an epic Nerf gun battle around the church. And that's what really mattered, after all.

[[ open for all your churchly needs; watch out for flying Nerf darts ]]

Teddy got into work late today, having forgotten what day it was. Thankfully he remembered before class started. That would have been bad.

He sighed and gave Emo and Goth a pat at being away for a week.

Café Fina, Tuesday

Who would have ever thought that the pepper shaker liked to look pretty?
Avon samples now entirely out of the way, Lumiere was free to consider other things. Bigger things. Far, far more important things.
Like alcohol.
It seemed to him as though his beloved Fina was missing something vital, and it had occurred to him that their little establishment was in need of a wine cellar.
Granted, they had some pretty fine wines, but they were French! The selection currently seemed to be rather on the 'piddlin' side of puny,' to borrow a phrase from one of the children back at the castle.
Fine wine was not to be kept in coolers. It was bound to get cranky that way.

Today's Specials Board reads:
Musical accompaniment with any meal today, courtesy of our talented and lovely pepper shaker.

There was, of course, a scribbled-out footnote.
Watch out for the pepper itself today. There's perfume in it.

(Wee bit of ocd, and then we'll be open for business! Ocd is up, and Fina is open!)

Kaylee opened Empire Records today, though she wasn't as cheerful as usual. She was a little sad because this would be the last time she opened the store. She had made the decision last night to return to Serenity, after all.

Of course, she'd be available to help any customer who might need it.

[ooc: like I said in the post last night, if you'd like a chance to interact with Kaylee before she leaves, go for it. or use for any music needs you may have; I may be slow to respond because I am not feeling well, woe.]

Shuichi skittered in to his shift drenched in rain. Somehow the dark clouds outside and the pitter patter of rain against the window's of his room hadn't given him the "umbrella signal." After a good squeezing of his clothes and pink flop of hair, he set about his usual ritualed duties of wiping down the counter and washing any used glasses.

The Devil's Nest is open~

[[ooc: spotty as per usual]]

Leo was sitting at the counter, across from Red the Puppet. He appeared to be playing Clue Hint. Red, being inanimate, was forced to allow Leo to play for him.

Photo Hut is open.

It was raining but this did not matter. Agatha had strapped herself into the Spider and was practicing sword technique, waiting for John to arrive. He had not taken Scorpion out yet after Agatha had made modifications. The rain just made the exercise more of a challenge.

[for John and Billy, park is of course open]

Moist walked into the Post Office - not wearing his golden suit - and tripped over piles of mail. "Gladys! What's going on?"

"Mail, Mr Lipwig. For Other Places."

"What?" He waded through the letters, picking them up at random. "Morrowing? Raccoon City? Salidar? Fiddler's Green? The Nameless City?" He looked up. "How can it be the nameless city. It obviously has a name. What are they doing here?"

"I Do Not Know. They Came Through The Engine. Many Letters. They've Been Coming Since Last Night."

"Well pour them back in!" Moist shoved his handful of mail at Gladys and took refuge on the counter. "They don't belong here. Mail for Fandom. That's all we deal with it. Send them back!"

Gladys began tossing letters into the Engine's glow while Moist watched from a safe distance.
