John opened Sparky's and putted around the shop. Mostly poking at his amazing handpaddle boat.

[Sparky's is open like an open thing! Pester John! Poke the bots!]

Apu woke up with a snort that came out of the snorkel he still had in his mouth.

He was still standing on the counter with the cash register over his head, he must have fallen asleep like that.

He spat the snorkel out and set the register down again, setting about cleaning up the store and pushing the SquishyBot back into place while there was still enough water to make that an easy task.

He wondered where Jane was.

Oh well.

Today's Squishy Flavors:
Red, Tartar Sauce, Lemon Butter

Turtle & Canary is open.

Lana opened the store on time and straightened things up, very glad that the store had not flooded. Imagine how much work that would have been!

She got everything ready for customers, put on some quiet music and settled down to do some homework while there was a lull.

Braca was in full rain gear today. He wasn't taking any chances if the rains deemed it necessary to start again. His uniform and boots were newly cleaned and polished and there was no way Braca was letting some stupid water damage his finely laundered clothing.

Hence, the yellow rain slicker and green galoshes. Styling.

Monday
Confessions.

Even though the church was a mess from all the flooding and some heavy duty cleaning was needed, Rosette still insisted on holding confessions this Monday. The most important thing, after all, were her guns and, while the guncase was a sturdy piece of watertight equipment, not all her guns were kept in there, so she had a lot of guncleaning to do today. In addition to that, though, was the fact that every ten minutes, she smirked and had to pause and make her own little confession. "Forgive me, Father, I have sinned. I have recently been guilty of having licentious and impure thoughts..."

In the meantime, Chrono wasn't too annoyed with having to handle most of the heavy cleaning stuff, because he'd gone to Sparky's that morning to get the bots so they could make up for what they did to him over the weekend in their great NPC battle. John was right, too; they were being amazingly industrious, hard little mechanized workers helping him clean up after the flood.

...For the moment, anyway.

Chad had the feeling this was going to be a pretty mundane day. So he brought both guitar and dinos with him today. When he opened, he went around and put the dinos in random places about the store, and then went to kill time with random tasks and idle practise, and then later, when he went to do other things around the store, he hoped that he'd forgotten where he put the dinos and be pleasantly surprised to find them again in their random spots.

Sad thing was that he probably would be surprised and wonder at first how they got there before he remembered.

Today's Mix: Couldn't Be More Random if I Tried. He really needed to stop being lazy and finish his new mixes.

Now that the rain's stopped and getting around is easier, Aeryn heads back to the junkyard to check out the ship situation. There are some tools in the transport pod, so she starts there, running systems checks just to make sure everything's running normally. Might as well fix the glitches while she's here, too.

And to think, a year ago she would have expected someone else to do this for her.

[Very few people would know where she is, but if they're around they're free to talk to her. Otherwise establishy.
That she went to the junkyard okay for broadcast, what she was doing is not.]

After a walk -- well, a slosh -- around town checking out which buildings looked like they might be in need of some repair work after the flood, Xander scraped the mud off his boots at the doorway to the Perk and ordered himself a very big cup of coffee and a very big chocolate muffin. Then he settled down, pulled his laptop out of its bag, and started checking his e-mail.

[OOC: Xander's there... to be there. Open for all your caffeine-procuring needs, with or without talking to him.]

The store was an absolute mess. Most of the stock was destroyed from being submerged, though the waterproof disposables were still okay.

His 1978 Calendar was gone. He wasn't sure what day it was now. But worst of all, the Mermaid chick had left along with the water. She'd left him a conch shell and a polaroid of the two of them.

With a heavy heart, Leo began cleaning up.

Photo Hut is open.

Aiden is hungover and grumpy. The office squelches underfoot and smells worse than it did before. She also has a sneaking suspicion that something alive is still camping out under the carpet as the back right corner keeps jiggling. The courage to go and check it out has eluded her so far.

The door is open and she's all dressed up in waterproofs, brushing as much of the leftover water out of the front door and away as she can with a lot of muttered cursing.

[ooc: Open, but SP for the next hour or so while I finish playing with radioactive things!]

The Doctor strolled along his merry way back from the causeway, having successfully saved the Earth from imminent destruction not once but twice during his time away from Fandom. He whistled a happy tune, and paused when he noticed his 'Gone Fishing' sign was no longer on the TARDIS door.

And then, he put his key in the lock. And turned it. Then, he attempted to push to the door open. For some reason, there was resistance. He put his shoulder into it, and out from the door poured thousands upon thousands of gallons of water which had seemingly seeped into the TARDIS during the flooding, but amazingly stayed in when the water levels receeded.

He kept an iron grip on the side of the blue box as water continued to gush out, down towards the beach and the open waters.

Definitely an odd way to be welcomed back to town.

[ooc: Open. Expecting one TARDIS refugee in specifics, though.]

Jarod arrived early, but was still unprepared for the mess that was Caritas. The lounges were squishy, the stools were everywhere and overturned, the floor was drenched, and all of the glassware was filthy (and possibly containing sea creatures--he hadn't gotten far enough in his cleaning to check).

The alcohol, however, was fine.

So now he was cleaning and mopping and shining and shop-vaccing to get it back up to standard.

Caritas was open. Just damp.

Jerry and Jerry had found many interesting items! And they were sitting on crates and boxes in pretty rows.

The building was very nice. There was room in the basement to make stalls for the donkeys! They both agreed this was a very good thing, as neither remembered that the donkeys had drowned. It was probably for the best, as neither of them made the stalls anyway.

And so they turned on every light they could find and flushed the toilet in the basement three times and pressed their faces against the door, watching people walk by and shouting at them.

"Come innnnnn!"
"Why don't you come innnnn?"
"It is a stooooooooore!"
"We have a very lovely store!"
"Come innnnnn!"
"Why don't you come innnnnn?"

OrangeShoeSevenAide was officially open.

The Post Office was open, though you might want to watch your step. The receding flood waters had left behind what seemed like a good part of the island's shrubbery and silt.

Gladys was diligently mopping, sweeping, and carrying piles of rubbish out onto the front lawn.

Moist was muttering to himself while he watched. The general gist of it was that boredom was very underrated, and he was never delivering to a god ever again.

"What Was That, Mr Lipwig?"

"Nothing, Gladys. But I think it's high time we gave others the opportunity to experience the wonders of working at this post office."

[ooc: open! Please mod Gladys if you need anything because I am sleeepy. Post for recruiting postal employees will be going up this week, on Friday FH time. Sorry I haven't done anything about it sooner, but RL has been a demanding mistress.]

Sokka had built himself a... contraption. Out of flotsam and jetsam. A large, flat, wooden bed. Eight mismatched wheels. Held together with lots of nails, twine, and duct tape. One long, thick rope tied to the two front corners.

And on it, one MONSTER piece of the Krackel. HUGE.

It was hard work, and slow going, and Serenity Cove was on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STUPID ISLAND from the school, but he didn't want to ask anyone for help. If he got it up to the dorms by himself, he could keep the lion's share for himself.

He heaved it a few more steps forward, and then rested. Only a few more hours.
