Spreading a blanket upon the lawn, Annette sat down to read Dickens', Oliver Twist. It was a nice day, warm, and sunny and it felt good to be outside.

After a while she started feeling lazy and set her book aside. It felt like she had been up all night long and well, she kind of had been. Most of the night anyway. It had been a good night. Grinning to herself, she lay back on her blanket and stared up through the branches and leaves of the tree.

Then she fell asleep. And did not snore!

Least she didn't think so.

(park is open, yes.)

After saying goodbye to Jim out on the Causeway, Lana had made her way over to her favorite thinking spot at the Cove. She'd set Jim's alarm clock for an hour earlier than he had to get up, just so they'd have a little extra time together, but it was over far too soon.

She sat and watched the water and the few high clouds in the sky, remembering how tightly he'd held her, the words he'd whispered, and how she'd watched till the cab disappeared in the distance.

A week. Maybe. And then he'd be back. He had to come back.

With a sigh, she wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her head on her knees. Maybe she could just stay out here till he came back.

Aziraphale was definitely humming to himself as he unlocked the door to Book Haven and went about preparing to open for the day. One might have gotten the impression that he was in a particularly good mood, even.

Millie kept an orderly shop, so there really wasn't too much that needed doing, and before long Aziraphale was ensconced in a chair with a cup of tea and a crossword. There was, of course, a tea service laid out for customers as well, and he was ready to help anyone who might have book-purchasing needs.

Gabriel had noticed that the radio was a perfect source of information on what was going on. Now he just left it on, as finding the power button every time was such a hassle. Last night's broadcast had been a little confusing though, what with all the code names. Only monkeys could come up with something like that. At least there hadn't been an attempt to give him one, and appearantly that made him scary. Gabriel approved of that. Well, as long as it didn't scare away any potential useful mortals.

He sat on the altar and picked up another paperback. While chewing on a donut he began to read. This one contained some slightly graphic descrptions of monkey mating scenes. He carefully skipped those. No reason to ruin a good meal.

It was very warm, but the cold-blooded animals loved such weather, so D opened the front door and allowed the lizards and snakes to take up various positions on the concrete landing in front of the shop.

Careful of the komodo dragon in the bushes by the door there.

Count D's Pet Shop is open.

Charlie got to the beach about an hour after she woke up, and a handwavey phone call to Isabel. Having pizza and videos with Dean to look forward to when they got done definitely helped. She started making a fire pit ringed with stones, and then went looking for driftwood to burn.

After dropping off her things back at the dorm, Turtle went into the shop to wait for Bart to come in for his training. "Awesome, Apu, the place didn't burn down!" she laughed. "Thanks for watching everything for me." She got comfortable behind the counter, working on interest figures for the two hundred million dollars she now had sitting in an account to get even fatter for college, and figuring out things for taxes. She was, after all, in a whole new bracket. Plus? It was so much fun dealing with things like that!

The glittery "Help Wanted" sign was still in the window.

Today's Squishy flavors: Green, Moolah, Red.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Setsuna couldn't help but try to put her whole arm and muscle into cleaning the glasses today. Which turned out problematic, with a lot of glass on the floor when she forgot herself and worked a bit too much of her whole arm and muscle into it. After the third one, Musubi kindly requested that she'll take over the cleaning duties tonight and Setsuna should just focus on drinks and keeping things organized.

The Devil's Nest is open.

When GOB walked into the bar tonight, he was surprised to find a second level to the stage. Tino and the zombies both looked like they hadn't rested all day, presumably because they were so busy building the structure. "That looks stupid," GOB said. "Take it down."

It wouldn't happen until tomorrow morning, though. They were too tired from making the stage two tiered.

Leo was testing the night vision on his cam-corder by standing in the bathroom with the light off. He wasn't going to say Bloody Mary, cause that would just be foolish.

Billy walked until he came to a stream that he knew, and taking off his leg, laid down on a large rock that jutted out into the swift moving water. His real foot dangled into the brook, and his fake leg he used as a pillow.

Here in the shade the heat wasn't too bad.

Leo sat on the edge of the merry-go-round, pushing it back and forth idly with his feet. He hoped the little Efferton Ghost Kids were happy with this memorial to them. He thought maybe they were, cause it felt so peaceful here. Or maybe that was the brownies.

After leaving Caritas, Mary ended up at the beach. She wasn't ready to go back to her room and be alone with her memories. It was a warm night and clear enough to see the stars, so she sat down on the sand and looked out at the ocean.

Mary knew that she was safe in Fandom and that the past was behind her, but she still felt a surge of panic every time she thought of her father. It had been this way ever since his trial when she had to face him in court and testify against him. It was times like this that she missed Danny McCoy so much that it hurt. She was building a new life for herself and starting to realize that leaving Vegas was the best thing she could have done for herself, but she still hadn't found anyone who could fill Danny's place in her life.
