The Magic Box, Thursday

Last day working at the Magic Box. Tannim would be leaving Fandom this weekend. He was feeling so nostalgic he even considered buying some Slug candles to take with him.

The Magic Box was open.

Millie opened the store quite cheerfully. She'd loved the fireworks display last night and had happily google-searched for all information on the holiday.

Today she's set out teas and cookies for anyone who might stop by and she's re-reading her favorite Millie books. It might just have occured to her that she could celebrate her own sort of Independence Day. Something to think about!

Dale yawned as he downed what was his tenth cup of coffee for the day. He had pulled a double shift at the station so Ralph and a couple of the other troopers could have the day off yesterday.

Granted the troopers weren't American by any means but they still wanted to have the day off.

Dale then settled down behind the front desk as he kept on top of the paperwork that appeared to be a daily battle to finish.

It had been quite a while since Aziraphale had taken the time to visit the pond in the park, and he was surprised to see how fast the ducklings were growing. Settling onto his favorite bench with a contented sigh, he stretched out his legs to let the wee ducklings brood on his feet, and opened up the paper sack of scones he'd brought along.

[ooc: The park is open for all your park-type needs.]

Groovy Tunes, Thursday

The kittens were trying to express to Charlie how much they'd missed her. Or possibly, they just wanted milk.

Charlie settled in and put the 300 Sparta soundtrack on the system, and hummed along while she wrote.

Groovy Tunes was open.

The fireworks last night hadn't impressed Gabriel. Nothing on Earth could compare with Heaven, really. Not even donuts. Still, it made him think about celestial splendours and how he was stuck here, here being a situation rather than a place. He could leave - or so he thought - but where would he go? In a mortal body he was vulnerable, and had to consider his safety. Of course, having Lucifer around might be considered reason to leave, but somehow that old enemy didn't seem that concerned with him, other than occasionally mocking him. He could live with that - maybe - until he was restored to hil full power.

[The church is open.]

The Acorn was still there. River patted the ship like Kaylee would have done, smiling. It looked just like she had left it, which meant there were still traces of the flood visible, but the interior looked clean enough. The furniture which Buffy had helped her chose at IKEA was firmly attached to the floors and walls to prevent it flying around. It wasn't a very advanced ship and would be a lot easier to fly than Serenity, but it would be good practice, if only she could find some fuel.

She noticed a squirrel sitting on one of the wings and waved to it.

[Establishing, but open if you want.]

Giving up breakfast and lunch for the yumminess that was pie, was always a good thing in Annette's book. Plus, she was not able to eat her pie with John the other afternoon and felt she could certaintly do much better today.

Walking in before Andrew, she glanced over her shoulder at him, grinning, "Welcome to J,GOB's. Doesn't it smell yummy in here?"

(Annette is here with Andrew and thread locked to them please. Otherwise, J'GOB's is open, of course!)

Phoebe got to work early and helped put the zombies in their correct forms and helped tape them together as well.

"One of these days, one of you is going to lose a body part permanently, you know."

She cleaned up the bar and unlocked the doors.

Caritas was open.

The Devil's Nest - 7/5

After a fairly enjoyable and laid back day, Neil headed down to the Nest for his weekly shift.

Things were pretty clean but it never hurt to go over everything at least once more and after he set out bowls of pretzels and other bar snacks, Neil headed out to clean in the lounge and on the dance floor.

He was keeping an eye on the bar though, in case anyone needed a drink!

Photo Hut, Thursday

In celebration of the day after Independence Day, Leo added the word "post" to his sign, so now it said:

POST INDEPENDENCE DAY SALE ALL TEA MUST GO.

He didn't have any tea, so he guessed the sale was a success. Photo Hut is open.

Isabel was still debating where to go when she left the dorms and headed into town. Caritas wasn't the same without Jarod and she wasn't quite in the mood for coffee at the Perk.

With a sigh, she headed towards the beach. When all else failed, she knew she could at least sit and watch the waves for a while.

Sometimes Fandom can be kind )

[OOC: Pre-played with…someone. No interaction possible. Comments are love.]

Café Fina, Thursday

Thursday, July 5th, 2007 05:48 pm
[identity profile] palestshadow.livejournal.com
For the first time in weeks, Café Fina was not plagued by that horrible, mind-destroying song.

Lumiere was absent, and so were a number of the plates. The rest of the plates were muttering and giving Naminé an uneasy look. The cheese-grater was ecstatic. And the frazzled, underslept pepper-shaker was taking a nap in the blissfully silent basement.

Naminé herself had rather cheerily written up today's Specials Board:

ENJOY THE SILENCE
Absolutely No Singing Permitted Today!
If You Insist On Music, It Will Be Instrumental
Free Dessert For Everyone (Unless You Start Singing,
In Which Case We Will Throw You Out)

If one were to listen very, very carefully, they might detect a muffled sort of "Mmmf! Mmmf!" coming from the back closet.

Café Fina was open.

Raph wasn't about to leave Mikey without any really good exercise, so he headed to the park, and down to the duck pond so the little guy could get in a good swim.

Pools had chlorine, the ocean probably had way too much salt for a tiny turtle, and hell if he wanted to kill his little brother on accident. He had to face facts; Raphael knew absolutely zilch about caring for a non-mutated turtle.

The one thing he did know about turtles? They liked water, and other than sea turtles (which little Mikey most certainly was not), it had to be fresh water. Or at least marginally fresh, since the duck pond was... well, not something you'd want to drink, he was pretty sure.

Raph found a relatively safe, clear spot where he could watch Mikey, then set him down on the shore. He could decide if he wanted to swim or not. Raph just thought he deserved the option.

[OOC: Open, of course! It's a free park. Seeing as it's summertime, there might even be a little light left! :3 Feel free to bother the grumpy turtle!]

Chad had promised to take Prince Oscar Pedro out to the park to play with the ducks, and he was finally getting around to it. He took a seat on the grass to watch as the water fowl mostly ran away and stared in confusion at the hairless kitten tentatively poking his nose toward them and sniffing them out. Eventually, he'd pounce, but, after one duck didn't take to well to that, Prince Oscar Pedro approached them with a few more manners than previously. Chad just hoped one of them didn't try to eat the other.

[[ for this semesters wayward Little Brother, but it's a park, yo, it's open. ]]

Another night and there's Mel in the graveyard on patrol.

Not that there are any vampires in Fandom to slay.

At least real vampires.

"Seriously. Knock it off. You're not funny."

[ooc: for [livejournal.com profile] fat_halpert and [livejournal.com profile] falcon_or_blade but open to all really. If you want to hang out in a graveyard.]
