It was all Gunther's fault that Jeff was wearing a shirt today. He didn't want to talk about it. Trousers, however, had been permanently discarded as far as he was concerned and Gunther was just going to have to deal with the safari-print boxers.

Nana was really enjoying herself by chewing on something over in the corner by the desk. He really hoped it wasn't anyone's leg or anything.

He put up the specials board and then went to sit behind the desk.

Magic Box, Tuesday

Andrew rushed to the Magic Box after his class. He was opening it a bit late, but he had switched shifts with Mr. Giles this week and was told that it was okay.

Unlocking the door, he ran back behind the counter and quickly adopted that "lulled into boredom" look that often comes with hours of uneventful work.

The Magic Box is open for all your witching and wizarding needs!

Turtle was whistling tunelessly as she came into the shop today, pulled a piece of posterboard off the shift, opened the little drawer behind the counter for her markers and glittered and whipped up a sign.

"Stocks Still Rising! To celebrate, all Squishies 50% off! Support the Market! Buy Stuff!"

That is all; now she returned to her regular scheduled squeeing and capitalism.

Today's Squishy flavors: Red, Blue, Goldenrod.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Annette was in behind the counter; current Vogue magazine in hand.

She was ready to work. Yep. Didn't she look like it?

Post Office is open. Ring bell for service. Or  not. One could just yell, "Hey blonde chick, get me some service! What? You think this is your lunch break! Come on!"

Chad went and did all the technical worky stuff he had to do right away, so he could spend the rest of his shift behind the counter, plucking at his guitar. He was working on that whole making a song thing again, but was finding it just really, really difficult. He never had this much trouble with making songs when Pippi was around, and thinking like that just made his shoulder sag and he'd have to go get lost in whatever bassline was playing over the stereos. Or put aside the guitar and find the kittens but they weren't seeming very cuddly today.

Today's Music: Working through the "The" bands still.

Groovy Tunes is open.

At some point in the early morning, a very large and impressive looking yacht pulled into Serenity Cove.  On the deck stood a rather attractive but severe looking woman in a red bikini and high heels.  Cigarette in hand, she surveyed the island with a look of mild disgust.

[ooc: establishy but ooc comments are amazing!]

Yitzhak had gone off-island over the weekend to do a drag pageant, and won himself a laptop for coming in fourth. Yeah, so it was a clunky and entirely unportable brick and refurbished at that, but what do you want from a second-tier drag show? (He was pretty sure none of the software installed on it was legally obtained, either, but who cared about that? Not him.)

It got online, that was all he cared about, and so Yitzhak, having discovered a network of fashion and style blogs, was behind the counter, browsing away . . . and happily trolling the post comments like a surly, scruffy, occasionally glamorous trolling thing.

Luke's is open, and online. Sort of. OoooOOOOooo.

He really needed one of those devices playing musical recordings. Hopefully there would be some place in the town that sold them. It would require investigation, but hopefully someone could help him with that.

It might be a little cloudy, but the early morning swim was still a good way to start the day. The cool water made her mind clearer and the gentle movement woke her up. Diving under the surface she dragged her fingers through the sand before the need for air forced her to return above the water. Wading back to the beach she wrapped a large towel around herself and stood for a while watching the waves.

Charlie was starting to get pretty good at burning off enough heat to work her powers. After about fifteen minutes of stop-and-start bay-boiling, she went back to play with her TK ball on the beach, and to wait for Isabel.

[open, and waiting on [livejournal.com profile] izzyalienqueen and the Nomadic Celtic Chef if he wants to join them]

Tori managed to open up Book Haven once her mun's internets had decided to behave on time. She set out the refreshments, making sure they looked nice and presentable.

Taking a seat, Tori flipped through a martial arts magazine she'd come across.

Dick hadn't had much to do today so he actually opened the bar early for once. And he actually did his share of the work today too. It probably won't happen again.

[I am around, huzzah!]

After a totally handwavy shopping trip to the mainland with Wilson, Aziraphale was all spiffed out in one of the new suits he'd bought. A very expensive new suit. It looked quite good on him.

He had a slip of paper in his pocket, which he intended for a certain shirt-destroying Prince of Hell.

Peter made a face as he pulled the door to the store open and got hit with a blast of icy cold air.   "After you, Lady," he said with a grin, holding the door open for her.  "What kind of ice cream are you going to get?"
