Mary typically did not work in the lobby on Sundays, but she made the exception since it was the last day of Homecoming weekend. She even managed to persuade Gunther to bring coffee and strudel to the lobby.

[OOC: Open for anyone checking-out or wanting to say good-bye before the alumni leave the island. I'll be afk until this evening.]

Sulley rushed in a little late and set up the shop for business.

Anne, utterly unmindful of any goings-on this weekend (she had been quite determined to make this weekend as uneventful as last weekend had been eventful), finally emerged from her room after a full weekend of diligent Greek study and went into town to open the bookstore.

She did spare a brief thought to wonder at all the unfamiliar faces around town today, but as soon as the tea and pastries were laid out on the counter and she was settled in the chair by the window with Ovid's Metamorphoses and a notebook and pen, she quite forgot all about that mystery.

[OOC: Just as a caveat, I have no idea how much I'll be around for the next four hours or so . . .]

Victor took his place behind the counter, wearing both his apron and a scowl that was a little scowlier than his usual scowl. It may have been because he was really craving a %*%RED*%* Squishy with sparkles, but that wasn't in the machine today. It may have been because there were too many people on the island this weekend, all the more to irritate him.

Or it may have been that he hadn't been named Junior Homecoming Tyrant. Not Prince. A prince is just another member of the outdated royalty that too many people had too much faith in. No, Tyrant, chosen by a groundswell of people who wanted him to rule over them with an iron fist at dances. It would have been a write-in vote, sure, but that would be fine because it also would have been a write-in CATEGORY.

Maybe next year he could get the title of Senior Homecoming Tyrant.

Today's Squishy flavors: Alumni, Grape Judas, Plain Old Red

Aeryn liked the normalcy of being back in Fandom, and yes, Fandom was normal for her. She liked being able to do things like not have to serve anyone anything, or repress homicidal urges about... well, anyone, and she liked being able to talk to her friends without having a couple states between them.

Or, at least, she'd like the last thing more when Anakin joined her.

[Aeryn's here for Anakin (duh) but open for your JGOBbish needs.]

George Michael was behind the counter stirring chocolate. He thought Joanna would look yummy in a bath of chocolate. He thought anyone would look yummy in a bath of chocolate.

Correction. Not anyone. George Michael shuddered and tried to block certain mental images by talking to Eddie. "Hey, bird."

Leo was having way too much fun with this green screen program. He'd made his hair and beard white, and was wearing a santa suit.

Photo Hut is open.

For his shift today, A.J. was in an insanely good mood, which meant that the specials board was buried under a lot of bright colors, blues and greens and yellows, and A.J. was trying his hand at cooking again.

Might really be just a milkshake day. Just a warning.

Luke's is open.

After his library shift, Lee decided to walk through town for no other reason than he didn't feel like going back to the dorms right yet. He made a stop in the park, tilting his head up towards the sky and shutting his eyes

And he meets someone unexpected... )

[Preplayed with...myself. Lee's still in the park should anyone wish to chat and the park is totally open for other things as well!]

Rory had stolen borrowed Vladdie from Anakin as soon as he'd woken up, and decided that after a rousing game of Hey, Let's Stare at Dust followed by an exciting round of Rory Can't Run as Fast as I Can Fly, Hee, it was time for some coffee. Most especially as she had a long drive to make later that evening.

She curled up at a table with her enormous cup, Vladdie tethered to the table and scampering over her feet.

[open for all your Rory, Vladdie, or Perkish needs.]

Dalton was on his way out of town, Tino was wearing bandages on his face, and GOB was behind the bar, smiling. Why was he smiling?

"Come on, Tino. Hit me again," he ordered. Tino - who was on thin ice after recent events - decided to comply. He threw a punch at GOB but just before it connected he disappeared in a brief flash. Five minutes later, Tino returned, dripping wet. "I love this spell," GOB declared. "I missed it so much."

[OOC: The Sanctuary Spell has returned! Attempt any violence inside Caritas and you will be teleported someoneWHERE (THANK YOU XANDER) on the island once more!]
