Josh still didn't know how he'd gotten talked into this.

But there he was, with a giant mug of coffee, an even larger Supersoaker to keep the young 'ins in line, and a confused look on his face.

"We leave for John and Aeryn's wedding in ten minutes!" he called. "If you're not on the bus, I will leave you here and you can either try to catch a portal this late or explain to the heavily armed bride why you didn't make it."

[OOC: Open to all people invited to the wedding! Road trip for the win!]

Something was wrong with Not Tiddles today -- she was running around in circles, mrowling at shadows, hissing at empty space, and other things of that nature. Sokka would have been amused, except he was trying to get his Dickinson on and she kept distracting him from the book.

"What is WITH you, kitty?" he asked, frustratedly. Then he turned to Gladys. "What is WITH her?"

"I Do Not Know," was the solemn reply.

There was an Open sign and a For Employment, Inquire Within sign on the door of Wellspring Arms again today.

This probably meant that Cable was in. Which he was.

He was just dividing his time between the front shop and the as-of-yet unopened shooting range again. Keeping busy, one way or the other.

After opening and taking care of a few things, Chad leaned on the counter (carefully), trying to put together a new music mix because he kept being lazy about those. He had enlisted in Prince Oscar Pedro's help, who sat with a swishing naked tail as Chad flipped through CDs and MP3 files, voicing his opinion with a meow. Chad soon regretted allowing this.

//"For the last time, Neko-kun, I really don't have Menudo. Shut up."//

Today's music: just about everything in Chad's music collection....err, well, they'll maybe get through a quarter of it in the next twelve hours.

Groovy Tunes is open.

River sat behind the desk in the lobby, or rather spun around behind it, trying to measure the speed with which she could spin the office chair. It was actually making her dizzy. She had rearranged the fruit in the fruitbowl - the safety measure against naked sleepwalkers - so that the fruit better resembled the body parts they were expected to cover in case of an emegency.

While the church was still smelling oddly, this was now disturbing Gabriel less, as Karal had promised to sort it all out. He really had to make sure the boy didn't stay away for that long.

[The church is open]

There was company invading the room again today, and the library had been closed that afternoon, which left Adah with her next choice down the list, to satiate her worrisomely growing need for caffeine in the form of tea. She blamed the cold, the clouds, the light and sporadic rain; she liked them, of course; it made for a very nice limp over, and it made her appreciate the warmth of the tea even more. Curled up in an armchair that she was getting to know quite nicely with a large mug, Adah then worked on getting herself better trained at that whole multitasking thing, trying to read from a book on her crookedly bent legs. It wasn't working. Yet. But it will. Eventually, damn it. If she could force herself to be able to walk, managing a book while drinking tea should be a cake walk...

Savannah was in a pretty good mood when she opened the store. She wandered around, making sure things were in their proper place, and then took up position behind the counter.

Nast's was open.

Jolee was starting to feel like he had some idea what he was doing here. He'd met most of his staff, hired someone, and hopefully driven a few people kind of nuts. Overall, it had been a good week so far.

He took his seat behind the bar and watched Tino. Not that Tino was doing anything interesting. Jolee was just kind of bored and Tino was slightly less boring than the zombies. The fact that his watching Tino clearly made Tino twitchy was encouragement to keep watching. It was kind of funny.

[OOC: Caritas is open and I'm mostly around.]

Friday night, and Peter had a date.

Peter scored what he hoped was a good table at the Perk, and waited for her to show up.

[ooc: Peter is here for said date, feel free to use for other Perky needs]

In the hour before dawn a boat drifted out of the mist, its sails in tatters, the ragged strips of canvas cracking in the breeze.

Incredibly old, worn by weather and time, wood and rope and canvas creaked and groaned as tendrils of fog rose off the ocean to wrap around its hull, long fingers caressing the wood. Whether they welcomed it or urged it away was a mystery.

There was no hand to steer it, but still it travelled unerringly towards the shore, ignoring the sudden shift in tide and wind that tried to drive it back. One final surge shoved the boat up onto the sand and it slowly tipped sideways until it fetched up against a rock, listing slightly, but held secure.

[ooc: the post is open for only one, who knows who he is. ETA: Post is NFB.]
