The sidewalk in front of the store was still covered with snow, and Melody was shoveling it off and salting the path. Someone could get hurt!

This turned into sliding on her boots to fake ice-skating. The store is open; the owner is turning figure eights and making a snowman out front.

Joanna abhorred the cold, so she had outdoor heaters placed throughout the entire course. She might have gone a little overboard. There was steam rising off all the water features.

Turtle & Canary; Thursday [ 12/06 ]

Turtle came in to open the shop, but she didn't exactly stay there. No, there was snow outside from yesterday, and instead of shovelling and salting the sidewalk like any good business owner should (Apu, she figured, would do it), she was playing in the snow. Whaaaat? She loved snow! And she could make all sorts of snowmen lining the outside of the shop to hold signs that advertised all their excellent winter deals on gloves, hats, scarves, hot cocoa, etc etc.

The Arms Hotel Lobby, Thursday [12/06]

Mary got up early to drive back into Fandom after spending the night at Ed's condo on the mainland. When she walked into the lobby, she was startled to see one of her employees was already at the front desk, her eyes glued to the computer screen. "Hoshi? Don't you have classes today?" she asked.

Hoshi didn't even look away from the screen. "No, I don't have any classes on Wednesday," she said, clicking on something with the mouse. Her face lit up as the computer made all sorts of ringing noises while multicolor lights flashed. Gunther, meanwhile, was standing off to the side, motioning to let Mary know that Hoshi had been there all night.

Mary made a mental note not to introduce Hoshi to slot machines. "Hoshi, sweetie, it's Thursday," she said gently. "Why don't you head back to the dorms, take a shower, get something to eat, and head to class. Come on, Hoshi," she said, carefully prying Hoshi out of the chair and away from the computer. "Leave the game alone. It will still be here when you come back next week."

Caritas [Thursday evening]

Okay, so Robin had taken advantage of her lack of anything else to do, and gone to the mainland and taken care of a bit of Christmas shopping. With that out of the way, she'd picked out some things for herself.

Which was why she was opening Caritas while wearing a pair of skintight leather pants. Enough people had told her she should get some, and they were on sale.... And she had to admit, she really did look nice. Not that she'd wear them every day or anything, but they were hot. (Kind of literally. Not a summer outfit.) And very bartender-y. Kind of like the chicks in that movie where they dance on bars.

Tino, of course, didn't notice anything different. Robin suspected he might be gay.
