Evening found Seely wearing nice clothes and waiting for Aravis at front of the theatre. He bounced on the balls of his feet, grinning.

NOW SHOWING

Cioccolato

[ooc: open to all. Thread with Seely and Aravis locked to them. Up early for timezones.

The film in question is, of course, Chocolat]

Maybe it was all the candy she'd had in the library with Bridge yesterday, but Jen was in an odd mood when she came in to work today.

That might explain -- at least in part -- the special.

Today's Special
The T.J.
Extra-extra-large pepperoni pizza with red gummi bears

It was probably gross, but it amused her. That was the important part, okay?

Tacked underneath the specials board was a small piece of paper with a hand-written note that read "Watch out for space pirates!"

. . . don't ask.

Had Yitzhak been here today? It might be possible to interpret the trail of glitter leading out of the diner as such.

Or, this being Fandom, that glitter-trail could be chalked up to something else entirely.

Mmm, enigma. Nevertheless, Luke's is open, and you're likely to get better treatment from the rest of the staff, anyway. They're positively gleeful the boss is nowhere to be seen.

[OOC: No OCD today, and mod your service at will, since I'm swamped with work today. *cry*]

Arrivals to the town hall for the dance would find it decorated with darker, richer colors, from the draping streamers to the balloons scattered around to the runner on the snacks table. At the entrance, there was even a table with a variety of masks available for those who might not have brought their own, or were too damn lazy to get one, provided ever so graciously by Turtle & Canary.

And there wasn't a single speck of pink in the decorations. Nope. Not one. Turtle had made sure of it, even against the nefarious plottings of someone whose name may have rhymed with Peg Panning.

There was, however, still a lot of glitter. You could change the world, but you couldn't tempt fate.

[[ OCD on its way has landed! Up early to get the most out of our play; second part to go up later dependent on comment accumulation and potential punch chinchillas spiking ]]

Sora was all smiles when he opened the store and it seemed infectious enough to even make Apu smile! Shocker there.

He had gotten a flower yesterday and it made him feel all warm and snuggly inside. Except if anyone asked he’d phrase it in a much more manly way… or something.

Now he just had to send her something in return. There was sure to be something around the store though.

Squishy flavors: Leftover Candy Hearts, broken “Red” hearts, Oyster

Sky was in a great mood when he opened the banana stand for once- the fact that he was in The Suit and had butterflies in his stomach thinking about the dance tonight notwithstanding, of course. He had a smile on. A smile that said "HI WORLD I SNUGGLED WITH MY BOYFRIEND ALL NIGHT".

Hey, it may have been old hat to... much of the campus, but it was still new to him!

Sky found some Red Hots and candy hearts in the back and set them out, assuming that Mr. Manager had been doing so, to get rid of them. Eddie was nowhere to be found today; Edwina, as Z had named her last week, was still at their usual perch but kept her distance, giving the occasional angry-sounding screech. He set up the menu board and settled in to chop nuts.

Menu~ )

Bluth's is open!

It could almost be said, whatever Liir might have complained, that he was flying without the broom. His feet were barely touching the ground, anyway, as he made his way to work. There were a few hops, a few chipper skips, and even one utterly ridiculous leap before he finally opened the door and started setting up the shop.

Cushions were fluffed and arranged for customers to sit, a small bundle of flowers were left for Millie at her door (he hadn't gotten around to it yesterday), tea and cookies were put out (along with a small plate of sandwiches done up with a sort of chicken salad and dried cranberries), and a few of the shelves were dusted before he settled down at the counter with his reading for the day.

...this should be interesting.

Book Haven is open!

Yeah, there was a dance tonight, but Chad was working instead. Because he was a dedicated employee.

Besides, even if he did like dancing (which he didn't, really, with perhaps one exceptional partner and she wasn't here anymore), he didn't feel like moving around much any more than necessary today. It was definitely laser pointer game for the kittens today, yup.

Today's mix: Teddy (duh).

Groovy Tunes is open.

While Giles didn't actually have any chocolate in his inventory to put on half price so he settled for putting love charms on sale instead.

The Magic Box was open.
the_merriest: (whoa cool)

Rikku was bouncy. Partly the leftover sugar high. Partly the flowers from yesterday. Partly the dance tonight. And, well, partly because she was always bouncy.

Most people would think this was a bad idea when one worked in a store full of large guns and ammunition, but pfft. She could totally handle herself, thanks.

The Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center was open. And, well, bouncy.
[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com
River was distracted by the fact that there would be a dance tonight. It meant she hadn't put as much thought into the specials as she usually did.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's specials
Scrambled eggs with marmalade

The Arms Hotel is open.

The Cat lay sleeping on the altar, snoring loudly. Gabriel was nowhere to be seen.

[The church is open]

Peter was a baby elephant on the loose, but it seemed that he still had his spider-powers.

Peter had a scientific mind. He had a hypothesis that he could do something. Therefore he had to test it.

And that's why there was an elephant swinging from tree to tree with his trunk in the middle of the park.

Even as an elephant, Peter was a big dork.

[OOC: I had to. Park is open for all of your baby elephant or parkly needs.]

Her outfit wasn't much to speak of but the jacket was absolutely killer and her shoes went perfectly with it. She also had the perfect accessory to complete the ensemble.

Of course the dance partner she had in mind was more of the undead variety and most likely wasn't going to appear but hey... at least during one big dance she got to fight a giant snake. Maybe she'd get lucky again.

[ooc: Open for... well anyone who'd prefer to hang out in graveyards than dances. One image stolen from another particular slayer's account. shh! Don't tell her.]

The lone figure standing on the beach probably wasn't a stranger to anyone prone to frequenting it at times of night. With little regard to the festivities happening on the island, Cable stood alone, staring silently into the waves.

If anyone had the guts to ask, he would've told them that he wasn't brooding. Maybe there were just a couple of things catching up with him, or maybe he simply had his eyes set on the far-away future--

Or maybe he just liked the sound of the waves, crashing on the beach. His coat wafting dramatically in the wind, however, was the only thing that moved about him. He was good at hard-to-read.

[ open, i suppose, to whoever might hang out on the beach'o'brood during or after the party. not that cable is a social animal ]
[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com
The party was still in full swing.

The dance floor was still hopping.

The punch was, miraculously, still un-spiked and un-crittered that I've noticed.

Turtle knew that fountain was a good idea!

[[ Second verse, same as the first. The original post is still very, very active, but I'm tossing up the second to help avoid newer arrivals through the night from getting lost and to maybe help with lesser intrawebz ]]

[[ new shiny OCD on the way here. Sparkly. Mingling, Punch'n'Food, Lurking, Dance, Dance, Dance, OOC ]] ]]
