This was a rare sight: A.J., behind the counter, with his nose stuck in an honest-to-God actual book. The kind you didn't draw in. The kind you couldn't draw in, because it was a library book. It was also a book about mechanics and gears and such, so, therefor, it was a rare one that he actually found interesting.

Today's Special looked like a flock of seagulls. The birds, not the band. You'd have to look at it upside down to get the band.

The Park: Sunday Late Morning [2-24-08]

Lana was taking advantage of the clear if still chilly weather. She'd stopped for a hot chocolate and a pastry and gone to sit out in the park by the duck pond. It was nice to be outside in the sun.

She had a book with her, of course, and also some old bread to feed the ducks.

Mister Doom's excellent mood continued today. Not that this was a shock. This was a mood that would just get better and better over time and there was absolutely nothing that could stop that! Ever.

As if in an attempt to make up for his playing video games for his entire shift on Thursday, Makoto was actually being productive today by doing some extra cleaning and considering how, exactly, he was going to explain to his father that he wasn't coming home for break.

Going from the way he kept glancing over at the games though who knew how long he’d manage to resist.

Robin was excited! Soon he would be in Disney World! He loved Disney World!

Caritas, Sunday

Yitzhak was seriously starting to regret ever setting foot in Caritas on Sunday nights, because every time he did, that damn flake of a jock kid who was supposed to be here didn't show up. All he'd wanted was a drink, and then Tino had manhandled him behind the bar and bribed him with a Victoria's Secret gift card.

Yitzhak hadn't noticed it was expired yet.

He was, however, behind the bar and trying not to look quite as pissy as he felt over the fact that he was missing the Academy Awards this way.

How did he get stuck with these things?

The Perk, Sunday

Mohinder was reasonably sure he had his coffee habit under control. The world - or at least the Perk - hadn't started to jitter just yet. He'd picked up a straight black coffee along with a double blueberry muffin and had found a seat by the window.

Mohinder set up his laptop and started browsing airline sites. He was looking forward to the next week's break.
