Although the Open sign was firmly placed upon the front door, the lights within the store were dim. Cable ran his checks early, settling behind his desk with a cup of coffee and a PDA, checking over his set business for the day.

He may have moved some of the guns out of the shop to the room behind the locked door over the night.

Yitzhak was hoping for a quiet week, what with Spring Break and all. Too bad one of the kitchen guys had set up a makeshift drumset using some of the more battered pots and pans from the storeroom, huh?

If anyone asked, he'd say it was what Yitzhak deserved for not paying him enough money to afford a game console and Rock Band. If you asked Yitzhak, he'd say (through a complicated tangle of eyebrow-twitches, grunts, and passive-aggressive postures) that if anyone was getting a game console and Rock Band first, it was going to be him.

And then he was going to set it up and make the kitchen staff watch him play. Isn't he the best boss ever?

He was going to Mexico for Spring Break; to celebrate, Romeo was raiding the men's section for key vacation wear. There weren't nearly enough Hawaiian shirts in stock for his taste.

He would have been taste-testing Tink's tequila, but he figured that could wait until after lunch.

Tom came to open the store bright and early, knowing that, since it was Spring Break, he was likely to have a slow, quiet day. He finally decided to plug a certain arcade machine which he wouldn't name but which started with "D" and ended with "onkey Madness" back in to see if it had learned its lesson. He also wondered if the nice young man in the banana suit whom he'd talked to on Friday would show up again.

Chad had to admit that he was still a little bummed about not finding out about the Mexico trip until after he'd made plans with Teddy to go to New York, but it was only a little disheartening. If he went back, he'd want it to be something a bit more personal than a class trip. And New York was important to Teddy. He was in Mexico not too long ago anyway; long enough for the ink on his right arm's tattoo to dry, sure, but still. And he could actually turn the trip to New York into a bit of a business trip.

You see, Chad had spent the weekend putting together his small, but not too shabby portfolio. There were agencies in New York...He was going through it and making a few concern comparisons to a few fashion magazines in between doing things around the store.

Alex was excited for spring break. Yes, she was going to Mexico. At least, she hoped so. She didn't think her parents would approve, but it was a chaperoned event. So there.

She tidied up the store and double checked the stock, making sure nothing was missing. Then Alex settled behind the counter.

Seregil came in and set out the pastries and tea for any potential customers, then sat down behind the counter with his napsack.

He pulled out one of the locks Aly had given him to practice on -- it was one that had multiple tumblers and two key holes and Seregil was firmly convinced that whoever designed it was more than a little touched by Illior's madness. Still, he appreciated a challenge and it was definitely serving to pass the time.

Fandom Post Office, Monday, 2/25

Annette came back late last night and she was on time this morning at the post office. The days she spent away were very beneficial and she practically felt herself again. There were a few people she needed to set things right with, but the important thing was is that she is better. She was glad to be back even though it was spring break and there wasn't much to do. She'd heard about the trip to Mexico; maybe she'd sign up for that.

Anyway, she was here at work behind the counter in a very cheerful mood.

Several years ago, when the housing market in Las Vegas was red hot, Mary joined in with some coworkers in buying a house and renting it out. A year ago, Danny and Delinda bought out everyone else's share in the house, and Mary sometimes wondered if she should have waited for a better offer.

That's why she had a big smile on her face as she read an article about how bad the Vegas housing market had become.

When Lucas arrived at work and settled in the ticket booth, he was surprised to find a box with his name on it sitting on top of the counter.

He stowed the box in his bag, deciding he could wait to open it until he got back to his room. Lucas had a lot of work to do. It was spring break, and there was sure to be a bunch of kids wanting to drive some souped-up go karts at high speeds while they didn't have to study.

Sky and Troy came into the Chilly Boulder after Sky's martial arts class, looking for something to do. They weren't quite holding hands, but were close, fingers brushing, maybe even briefly intertwining as they considered the menu.

"I'm not sure what to get," said Sky. "The last time I was here, it was when I saw Bridge and Z for the first time here, and it didn't go well... I didn't remember how many choices there were. What're you thinking?"
