Sky was already bored as he opened the stand for his shift. He was actually finding himself missing the usual noise and chaos of Fandom- especially because fewer people meant he likely wasn't going to get many customers today. Still, he got there and diligently set everything up, including donning The Suit. Less people meant less of a chance of mockage, at least, and hey, Xander and Willow weren't inclined to make fun of him on the radio, either. He hoped one of his friends would come by to visit, at least...

Eddie and Edwina, meanwhile, seemed just as bored as he was and were perched on the counter, chattering at Sky.

"You aren't getting free bananas just because there are less customers, birds," he told them.

Screeeee, said Eddie. Sky could only guess what he meant, but was sure it wasn't very pleasant.

Book Haven - Friday, 02-29

Liir, bunny in pocket if not in hand, opened the shop on time today, though he didn't bring any sort of food with him; all he had were some of the cookies he'd made up the yesterday, which served nicely along with the usual treats and tea.

He straightened all of the books, dusted the shelves, and finally pulled one of the volumes from the bin at the back as he did every Friday. He had his book on magic in his bag, but it wasn't anything to be reading while he was on the clock.

His book choice was the only thing that might have indicated the faintly fatalistic mood that had fallen on him of late. Otherwise, he looked peaceful enough petting the little bunny working happily on a carrot on the counter.

Book Haven is open.

Luke's Diner, February 29 (Friday)

Yitzhak had contemplated sleeping in all day again today, because it was a quiet week with most of the kids gone, but sometimes he had to put in the appearance of caring.

So he was sleeping behind the counter, but the diner was open.

Mary was debating what to do with her weekend since she had Saturday off. A part of her was tempted to head out to Las Vegas to see the situation for herself, but that wouldn't accomplish anything and besides, she still had wedding stuff to get done.

Earlier that afternoon, Bridge, Sky and Z had all recieved an email from Commander Cruger informing them of his plans to get all of C-Squad together to complete a training exercise on the moon over the weekend.

So much for the last couple days of Spring Break.

The shuttle arrives at the causeway precisely on time, of course, and within a few minutes the three cadets are buckled in, their gear stowed in the cargo hold. Wasting no time, the pilot plots a course for the wormhole that will take them back to their reality and time period, and they're off.
