When Yitzhak got in this morning to discover that the kitchen staff had made a vaguely obscene (if you squinted at it a certain way; otherwise it was mostly just lumpy and kind of gross) sculpture out of the leftover mashed potatoes rather than throwing them out, he spent several moments beating his head into the wall and inventing all kinds of lurid punishments for of them, most of which might have involved eggbeaters.

And then he sighed and put the sculpture out on the counter.

Well, what else was he supposed to do with it?

Luke's may be of highly, highly dubious artistic merit, but it is open.

When Mary got to the lobby this morning, she caught Gunther smoking three quarters of a cigar. "What the heck are you doing? Where did you get that cigar?" she demanded, rushing to open the windows and prop open the doors to get some air circulation.

Gunther mumbled something about boys, dogs and berets.

Anyone walking down Apocalypse avenue might catch sight of Dale Cooper riding along in a rickshaw cab. And anyone who was listening closely may hear him babbling away at his voice recorder...

"Diane, it is approximately 2:30 pm on Thursday, March 27th. I have just donated blood at the Red Cross in Alexandria and while I felt fine when I left for the island, crossing over the causeway I felt just a tad lightheaded. Deciding to play it safe I decided to test out the local rickshaw cab company in order to take me back to the Police station. I must say Diane that while I did have the chance to experience this type of ride while traveling the world in my youth, I have never experienced a ride that is at once both so fast and also quite bumpy"

And then not even the strangeness of Fandom could prepare Dale for what happened next... )

Lucas was distracted again today. None of the news he'd managed to get from Karen was very good. All his mom could say was that Haley had left town with some musician guy.

Lucas set up at the ticket booth and tried Nathan's number again.

He didn't think he was going to get much accomplished on that new 19th hole.

Millie was puttering around the store happily, singing as she worked.
Everything was set out for any customers who might show up.

The shop opened up unreasonably early-- even for the standards set by Ino. With the Open sign set and the dog at the door, Cable had retreated to his desk with the device he'd cobbled together from the wreckage of the Penetraitor Teleportation Harness, his map, and a bundle of assorted paperwork.

Isabel was yawning when she opened the store. After all, a week of being woken up nightly by the boyfriend's robo-baby at 2:30 in the morning did eventually take it's toll. It was enough to make her realize she was more then willing to wait to deal with the real Victoria Maureen.

After making sure everything in the store was in place, Isabel sat down and rested her head on the counter.

She was just resting her eyes.

Pixie Dust was open.

Ami opened the store and settled behind the counter with her laptop. She had discovered a new activity called Geo caching and was busily investigating if there were any caches hidden on the island.

Melody had blithely closed up and left Tuesday, completely forgetting she had, in fact, left a mess for Teyla to deal with until she came in and saw the store was all sparkly-clean.

Teyla was definitely getting a raise. Also ... well, it would be cookies, but a mix CD was easier.

So Melody spent much of her day putting together a CD with songs like "Apologize" and "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word."

[OOC: No OCD again. My mom is here, so I'm off until 5 EST or later has gone home and I am around.]

Gabriel sat on the steps to the church playing the trumpet. Really, he should leave this place soon. No reason to hang around any longer, except that as it was kind of comfortable. And he needed to make sure Karal didn't get into trouble. The boy seemed to take on too much responsibility. That never ended well for mortals.

[The church is open]

Makoto arrived totally on time unlike the mun who totally forgot and set up for ‘her’ shift.

Then ‘she’ went to play video games and mentally reciting lines of a play in ‘her’ head.

Jolee was here on a Thursday. If asked why he was around tonight, he might say something about he thought it was Friday, or that he's old, dammit, and he can run the bar any night he wants. In reality, it was just his attempt to make sure Tino was never completely sure when Jolee might show up to torment him.

[OOC: I'm around, but somewhat headachey. So if I'm slow at all, don't be shocked, even though I don't think I will be. ETA: I was wrong wow.]

Unlike his mun, Sokka had gotten into Turtle and Canary on time, set up, and everything.

It was probably hard to tell he was there, though, because he had taken a Squishy and disappeared into the electronics aisle.

"APU! C'mere! I need you! Which of these digital cameras goes best with my skin tone?"

Today's Squishy flavors: Red, Cranberry, Duck a l'Orange

Geoffrey puts out the sign with quite a bit of pride. He thought, as far as he could, that it expressed the ragged and raw nature of the theatre which he hoped to produce, as well as indicate the general budgetary level of said theatre.
The Sign )

Next to the sign was another, written only on paper.
Casting for Titus Andronicus. Knock.
