The Perk, Monday morning, before classes

Johnny had handwavily contacted his little fake bro, Bob, and asked him to meet him at the Perk so they could get to know each other. You know, do the whole introduction thing because it hadn't been done yet. And Johnny was assuming the new kid needed help in possibly clearing things up. Fandom could mess you up quick if you didn't have the constitution for it. 

So he was waiting while sipping a large, black coffee. The table he chose out of the way pretty much, near one of the shops windows.

Gabriel was back. So was Cat. Not that their disapparance had been noted much, they assumed, but the church was now well stocked with instant coffee, donuts and tins of tuna. Everyone seemed pleased.

Chad was making the attempt to create a poster advertising his potential new band, but was not finding a very easy time of it. Prince Oscar Pedro kept nibbing on the edges. Prince Oscar Pedro had also chewed through part of the Now Hiring sign, which was impressive, as it was up on the window. "What," he grunted, pulling the paper out from under Prince Oscar Pedro, "is up with you eating everything lately?"

He solved the problem by crumpling the ball up, and throwing it across the store. Prince Oscar Pedro skittered after it and Chad just sighed, settling behind the counter with a copy of Rollin Stone instead.

Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Monday

After the past while, Cable'd been grateful for a weekend without anything stranger than a herd of walking noses in the stairwell. Now that all of that had been cleared up, he'd opened the store on time, checked the radio (made a note to talk to Temari about Ino, perhaps) and settled in with his laptop.

Oddly enough, he couldn't stay put for more than fifteen minutes at a time. Janice's new toys had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Sokka had to get Apu to explain the whole Memorial Day concept to him, but eating hot dogs and hamburgers in honor of fallen warriors seemed straightforward enough. Holidays still didn't seem right without streamers and firecrackers, so Sokka made sure to toss some of those on the display.

Alex opened up the store and knowing it was Memorial Day, had a feeling her parents were home celebrating. They were probably having a barbecue or something.

She was kind of say she was missing it. Not that she'd ever tell her family that.

Jolee understood that today was Memorial Day on the island and in the country Fandom used to be attached to. In that vein, Jolee took a moment to think of all the people he had known in wartime.

That moment became a minute. That minute became a half hour. Then he started writing names on a bar napkin because he thought he was repeating some. As time went on, Jolee came to a conclusion. "Dammit. I really am old."
