Between his mayoral job and his other responsibilities at the store, Cable felt it was probably important to make sure he wasn't going to get any sloppier than he might've already gotten over the year. So he spent a good chunk of the morning in the meditation room, going through his psimitar exercises, adjusting to weight and movement all over again.

By the afternoon, he was fully back at the desk again, feeling fit and... well, not quite ready to tackle the next stack of paperwork.

He was outlining some possible new invasion-prevention procedures, though.

It was another day at the diner where Cal expected things to be fairly slow and he could get a lot of reading done, alternating between his script for the play (how it had gotten so beaten up and used already was anyone's guess) and a novel. He was interested in both, especially since, if he was understudying he had two parts to learn now, but the look on his face would have a difficult time convincing anyone that he was anything except bored out of his mind.

Chad came in to open the shop as soon as he had the chance after his lit class to get everything ready for Peyton to come in and get training for the job.

But then Chad realized that he couldn't think of anything he could really do to train her, per say. Oh, well. He could see how she did and it wasn't like he had anything better to do, anyway. He wondered if she liked ANTM at all...

Jamie was sitting back behind the counter looking out the window with a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Apu? Why does Donald Duck not wear any pants and yet when he gets out of a shower he wraps a towel around his waist?"

Apu ignored Jamie and continued to replace all the hot dogs on the little roller grill with soy dogs.

Gunther was already cooking up a storm when Hoshi got to the the hotel. She had just gotten Porthos settled on his doggie bed by the front desk when Gunther emerged from the kitchen. "I have created a masterpiece!" he announced in heavily-accented English. "I have taken this silly American pizza and made it a true German creation."

Hoshi took one look at the pizza and lost her appetite. "Gunther," she said, "I don't think sauerkraut belongs on a pizza." Even Porthos turned his nose up at it.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Damn, it felt good to get back into the old routine.

Eve double-checked the poster in the window before going and settling back behind the reception desk. She also scribbled herself a little note to try and convince Savannah to submit something. After all, Savannah was a great artist and this would be an amazing chance for her.

He really should get out more. Gabriel had found an atlas of the world, although a little dated. Only a hundred years old. He couldn't find Fandom on any of the maps. Not that it mattered. He knew where he was, and someone had brought food yesterday when he was out.

Barbossa's boots rang out on the wooden planks as he tied up his totally legitimately acquired, for real yacht. "I be hearin' o' isles that ye can only find if ye know where it be t' begin wit'," he grumbled, "but I ne'er be hearin' o' one that be movin' on ye!"

He stomped down on the dock again. "Ye were supposed t' be in Virginia!"

He took a swig from his bottle--the ground was always far too steady after months spent at sea--and tottered off towards the radio station.

[OOC: He's baaaack.]

It was a boring night in the bar. Tino had briefly decided to go on strike before Robin threatened to make him dogsit again if he did.

And as a result, Robin was now behind the bar reading Cosmo (specifically an article on hatesex) and Tino was obediently cleaning the bar.

[This is what happens when you ask people for ideas. Also, I'm kind of randomly exhausted so if I'm slow, it's because I fell asleep on you zomg. Not literally. Probably.]

Jan was grazing, because he was hungry and because unicorns ate grass.

It didn't mean he was enjoying it. Not when he'd tasted oats.

He knew where the oats came from, they came from that delicious smelling building across the road, but he didn't know exactly how to go about getting them.

So he grazed, sending longing glances towards J,GoB every few steps.

[ooc: So open, yup!]
